Why would the Saudis sit on knowledge of an Iran-backed Hezbollah terrorist?

Because they’re islamists.

I still believe these pigs had a principle hand in the 9/11 attacks. They should have been our first target in the so-called War On Terror.

Perhaps as a sort of tit-for-tat in exchange for (the fanatically Shiite) Hezbollah showing more respect for Sunnis and Sunni interests? Mideast, intra-Arab, and intra-Muslim politics are so Byzantine that even Byzantines would say “Damn! They’re Byzantine!” Worth investigating, though hard to do, since for one thing, the US is weak in human intelligence assets with adequate language skills in hard languages such as Arabic. When I served, the weakness of Army-trained Russian specialists alarmed me, and Arabic is harder than Russian.
