Father of Alison Parker, who is campaigning for gun control, says he will have to get a firearm because ‘a lot of people take exception’ to his views
The father of Alison Parker, the journalist shot dead on live television on Wednesday, has said that now he is campaigning for gun control he will probably have to get a firearm to defend himself.
Andy Parker, spoke to reporters on Friday after he visited the television station, WDBJ7, where his daughter worked before being murdered - along with cameraman Adam Ward - by their former colleague Vester Lee Flanagan.
He continued to push for stricter gun control in the United States, where decades of mass shootings have failed to produce meaningful reform.

I threw out my TV years ago. I have seen a handful of movies since, all because somebody else was watching them.
I hated that practically every movie has at least some liberal propaganda in it. Global warming, the evil capitalist, the evil military...I’m tired of it. It will be a cold day when I spend even a dollar to watch this slime.
I bet his tune would be different if an armed person would have thwarted the death of his daughter.

You could tell in the interview with him the very day of his daughter’s death that ideology mattered more to him than her death.

We all grieve deeply for his loss.
Hopefully he will someday realize that all of us who demand our second amendment right are equally demanding of first amendment rights. We recognize his right to speak up and campaign for gun control; we also will defend him the best we can if he ever is threatened.
So, go ahead and arm yourself, take instruction in safe and accurate shooting.

CNN has been giving this guy multiple minutes of airtime each hour since the murder of his daughter.
He is preaching to the choir, but CNN still had him on again this morning.
Poor Mr. Parker. Devastated and grief stricken, he want to do something for his dead daughter. Who can blame him.
That something he should do is condemn racism, night and day, east and west, north and south. Instead, he calls for more controls on the one thing we all need more of because of racism: guns.
