You know, if we conservatives EVER hope to reverse the slide of this country, we need to have enough elected officials in key places to be able to pass legislation that we like (or stop legislation that we don't).
What you don't understand is that IMMIGRATION is THE key issue of this or any election. This election is as important as the one in 1860, and for substantially the same reason - i.e. it will answer whether this nation to continue on as before, or not.
You see, if the Dems win, or the wrong Republican does, then we get amnesty and the Dems get 30 million new voters in a short period of time. After that, AND FOR THE REST OF OUR LIVES, the Dems win on EVERY issue: they win on taxes, gun control, national defense, the environment, abortion, foreign relations, who gets appointed to the federal courts...AND ON SOCIAL ISSUES LIKE MARRIAGE AND RELIGIOUS LIBERTY.
IOW, if the Dems win or the wrong Republican does, then no other issues matter, now and forever, because we will lose on every one of them. They have been working toward this for literally the last 50 years, since Ted Kennedy proposed the 1965 immigration act and it got jammed through and signed by LBJ. Oh, and so far the ONLY candidate to come out 100% in favor of stopping ALL new illegal immigrants, and sending as many illegals out as possible, stopping anchor babies, etc., etc. is the same Donald Trump that you apparently have utter contempt for...and, BTW, he's the same Donald Trump who is polling decently among Dems and Indies, unlike every Republican.
So keep it up, you may help destroy the only apparent hope that this country has to survive, because all the rest (with the possible exception of Cruz) are pretty much just fine with the status quo, or are unelectable, or both.
FYI, if you don't believe me about the importance of immigration, then read Coulter's "Adios America." It is EXTREMELY eye-opening and, whether you like/respect her at all, is so full of facts that the notes take about 50% as much space as the text.
Why not just elect a solid conservative tough on the breaking of immigration laws AND on all the other “social” issues? These are not neglected, even over a few election cycles, without a serious cost.
