On National Security, Trump Strikes Out Again
The Weekly Standard ^ | September 4, 2015 | Stephen F. Hayes

Posted on 09/04/2015 12:25:44 PM PDT by EveningStar

When Donald Trump botched a question Thursday about General Qassem Suleimani, head of Iran’s Quds Force, it wasn’t the first time. He did the same thing last month during the Fox News debate, but his answer was largely overlooked in the post-debate hysteria over Trump’s answers to questions on a third party candidacy and his treatment of women.

Bret Baier asked Trump about Suleimani and offered the candidate a helpful tutorial in the introduction.

I asked my son if he knew who Soleimani was and he did.

Did you also ask him what the biggest problem facing the world is?

Did he answer "glow bull warming?"

Is your name Jimmy?

Biggest issue I had with his statement was that he would “hopefully find a MacArthur in the pack”. No no no. Please find a Patton or, even better, a General Vandegrift.

Tanks muchas, get’s a little fun around here, right? Still loving your tag-team idea Cruz/Trump.

Love them both. Either of them would do a world of good for the USA, IMHO ‘ignorant’ opinion as a ‘Trumper’

Gotta use the buzzwords so the haters can find me.

I am there.

D.C. had their chances with me. I no longer will fall in line and be part of go-along-to-get-along business as usual camp. I’m simply done with it.

All one has to do is look at what they’ve done to America in the past several decades. Look at their performance on everything, all the big issues.

Those that find our state of affairs even remotely acceptable are either part of the problem, or are suffering from political battered wives syndrome. They keep getting their jaws broken and betrayed and keep coming back for more. Over and over.

America better get this right this time.

Don’t forget they had that meeting not to long ago...I have to believe they are talking/plotting behind the scenes....telephones are great anonymous communication devices.

I don’t understand how so many can be against Trump for what he is doing to this election, he has turned the GOPe on it’s head and I am loving it!

Do I have issues with him, yeah, but I have issues with everyone who is running.

In the end, I can pull the lever for Trump or Cruz with enthusiasm....I’m tired of holding my nose like I was forced to in the last two elections....no more.

What I get sick of here is the constant barrage of negative/snark above all criticisms of candidates....but it is what it is, time will work it out.

Trump has been personally instrumental in creating the recipes and menus in the 5-star restaurants housed in his luxury commercial creations.

Oh wait...probably not. Nah...maybe, just maybe he hired experts to do that...world class chefs, culinary dining professionals, seasoned restaurant management, etc.

I recall hearing about, back in the day, about them rednecks down south running moonshine, and trying get past them pesky revenuers. They seem to have employed “blockers”, those flamboyant boys with the hopped up cars hual’n ass all over they south to draw off the Feds.

Curious, how that just seemed to pop into my head.

Now, I’m not equating Trump with Burt’s (IIRC) “Gator”, nor with moon shining. We (The People - who love this country) are however, trying to sneak someone, anyone, not of the gubment, past the gubment.

An intriguing possibility.

Hugh Hewitt can be the game show host for Muslim Terrorist Jeopardy. Until then, stick to questions whose answers really matter.

There’s only one thing you need to know about Iranian generals: How to beat them.

Lawyers and politicians have absolutely NO BUSINESS being involved in the planning and prosecution processes of fighting our wars .This is why , since we have allowed them to get involved , we have not clearly won a conflict , militarily , since WW2 . And we keep repeating this mistake .
To me , the only solution is to either have an overall warrior leadership , nationally , or have a Department of War that is led by our warriors and not answerable or over-ruleable by any civilian official or administration .

All Americans will come to this conclusion the day after we have seen mushroom clouds rising over multiple American cities , and probably not before . I am suggesting that we get to the proper positioning BEFORE that happens .
Like now ! Or at least very soon . Ditch these clueless deceitful civilian idiots and all that they have wrought .

G.W. Bush did the same thing, which is why Will Farrell parodied him on the “I got some more Nigerian names for ye” on SNL. But Steven Hayes LOVED G.W. Bush. Why is Trump different?

As I recall, there was a prediction that, about now in September, the serious anti-Trump forces would begin a relentless assault on Trump.

It would be great to keep a list of all the "agents" being being used.

So far today, The Weekly Standard and Hugh Hewitt
That I know about.
