“Well, son, as hard as it might be to believe, there was a time when the Republican Party sought at great expense to derail the candidacy of its front-runner, even when he had the far and away lead.”

For some reason the GOPe reminds me of the story of Little Black Sambo when the tigers were running around a tree so fast that they turned into a pool of melted butter. Lets try this, no this, hey let Perry do it, no Walker should put his name on it, is pathetic.

Deep in the article is mention of the the Koch team withholding their super-duper voter database that put Romney into the white house...not. I think Mr Trump has a little need to used failed tools. Surely he has a gold plated computer somewhere with fantastic information really put together with the best people in the field. It will be a huuuuge advantage😉

Put major energy into anti-Trump ads. Trump absorbs tthe energy and spits it back at them

I don’t think the GOPE is backing a more conservative candidate than Trump, do you...

Lying and smearing freepers with lies does not help your cause.

"The Club for Growth, which has spent millions of dollars on feisty intraparty campaigns attacking Republican candidates who deviate from conservative economic orthodoxy"

There is NOTHING Conservative about the Club for Growth.

100% open borders. "Free Trade" that allows them to export jobs and import product with impunity, thereby depleting the Nation's Capital Stock and relegating it's population to serfdom whilst they continue to pay Congress to divert taxpayer dollars to them.

They are the very definition of Crony Capitalists and each and every one of them are enemies of the American People.

$500mil in negative ads will do immense damage.

"that all his supporters will suddenly gravitate to their chosen one Jebbie Bush?"

They will take out Trump and then AMPLIFY issues that are dear to Social Conservatives.

One of the GOPe candidates will become a voice for SoCon positions.

Works EVERY TIME.

There is NOTHING Conservative about the Club for Growth.

Why is it always all or nothing?

They backed Toomey against Specter.

They are more or less a limited government bunch.

They have also been pretty much for open borders.

That's not a good policy, as you say.

But they have backed some very conservative candidates through the years, so there has to be something conservative about them.

Maybe not towards theirs.

Charge: Trump is not Conservative enough.

First, when Trump’s Republican critics claim that he’s not a “conservative,” they mean to imply both that they are conservatives and that Trump is really a “liberal” Democrat.

Their rhetoric notwithstanding, the first implication is patently false: Trump’s GOP rivals and detractors are most decidedly not conservative. The Republican Party is every bit as much a champion of Big Government and the Politically Correct ideology that it’s been used to promote as is its counterpart (To anyone who takes issue with this judgment, I pose one simple challenge: I defy you to identify a single government program, let alone an agency or department, that Republicans have cut. I’ll even be generous and allow you to go all the way back to the Reagan years. I guarantee that you can’t do it). From Townhall 8-5-15

Strangely enough the Secret Service, the FBI, the NSA, the IRS, the KGB the Mossad, the Senate, the House knew anything at all about the President and know even less today. Right, I believe that don't you?

How much of that will be spent by the GOPe in self immolation?
The GOPe is going the way of the Whigs, the Bull Moose, and the Know Nothings.

Yeah sure, I believe them, the uniparty preservationists. Not.

Among so many reasons, DingleBarry is a Prima facie violation of Article II Section I because of his unclear loyalty - Indonesia and Communist Africa. No other President had a foreigner father who never even became a citizen, period, nor was any indoctrinated in an enemy belief system. He was quite literally an IQ test for the Congress to see if they could uphold their oaths. They failed ( I can never forgive Cheney for this, he can shove his new book right up his arse, too late Dick ). And now we have been treated to no less than five and possibly seven questionable candidates in total. Way to go guys, Eternal Vigilance fail again.

It's hard to admit but our founders screwed up big time, by overestimating the intelligence of the People and underestimating the capacity of future enemies. They never imagined they would need to define every word of every clause in dictionary bullet list style with synonyms and antonyms to counter the accumulated effect of 228 years of lawyers dumbing down the government.

Hussein is only President because lawyers have learned to use technicalities to their ( and all criminals' ) advantage. I say that we should now do the same and use Article Four Section 4 as written, without nuance and context ...

[...] and [the United States] shall protect each of them [the States] against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence."

... and send armed Militia to expel the foreign invaders with extreme prejudice. After all, the Founders did not specify that the Invaders need be carrying muskets. ;-)

????? The comments are because you are one of the ones who will twist any possible thing to trash Trump. Nobody here thinks the GOPe is our friend and we all know they are backing Jeb more than anyone.

You still haven't said who you support/donate to or indicated (in a huffy manner) that you donate to FR - always side-stepping the issues about actually investing in your "principles".

BTW

GO CRUZ!!! Keep it up Trump!!

They fear Trump because they cannot buy him.

And that's his trump card, if you will.

Hey Beltway, read jimjohn's post #49, especially the end:

. . ANY of these scenarios happening would probably ignite a 2nd civil war.

You up for that?

We're coming for Washington D.C. first. .
