Perry is copying what Trump said but just using different words all the while bashing Trump’s wall...Now there’s a joke(er)...

I certainly was not one of them. Perry’s history of coddling Illegals was something that he OPENLY bragged about. But people gave him full credit for the Texas miracle, and while I do give him some credit (i.e., he held the line as well as possible on Obamacare and Common Core), it was mainly high oil prices that made Texas as strong as it became under him.

Perry would discriminate against citizens from other states in favor of illegal aliens who had already sucked tens of thousands out of the school system, local and federal, only by judicial fiat.

First off, its a violation of Equal Protection. And a violation of the 1996 immigration reform act. And a rejection of popular will - after all, it was the vote of the people in Tyler way back in 1982 that was overturned in Plyler v. Doe.

I called Perrys office the day he signed the bill and told his admin that Texas had just left the Union a second time.

Thats what it means to to turn your back on your own people, the people who paid to put a third rate college jock in the left seat of a C-130 and eventually propel him into a position of power.

The flak we keep getting on building a wall is so ridiculous. I am not an engineer but I have see many sound abatement walls being built around metropolitan areas - basic I-beams and precast concrete. You drive down or cement in the I-beam and slide in and stack the precast sections of concrete between the beams. Not a particularly complicated building process. We have the Army Corp of Engineers and engineer components in all our military services that can be put to work on constructing the border wall. It clearly is doable except for those who keep dreaming up excuses for ways to facilitate the invasion of illegals.

Current law allows any illegal immigrant who has a Texas high school diploma and has been a resident of the state for at least 3 years to pay the same tuition rate as full citizens. Beneficiaries also must sign an affidavit pledging to apply for legal status as soon as they are able.

• Put drones in the air. Spread them out so you can monitor the entire border.
• Restore the ground cameras that Bush had in place and that Obama pulled out. If the software couldn't recognize a person vs an animal have the software upgraded.
• Put border stations every 20 miles. That's would be 100 border stations. That way officers are never more than 10 miles from an attempted crossing. If you manned those with 50 officers each, (about 10 per shift) that would be 5000 officers.
• Build the wall, so the officers have more time to get there and to call in reinforcements.
• Have some quick deployment teams in armed Helicopters.
• And have some armed predators ready to fly for special situations.

A woman who works for me crossed the Rio Grande hence the term wetback, got her green card married a man who did the same. They have 3 sons, one has graduated from college, one is in medical school and another is a college student. They are a family of outstanding citizens that any state would be proud to have.
