A $606 ticket? That is way to high.
“How does one find the name and address of someone from a license plate?”
License Plate Lookup How to Search License Plate Numbers Online

It’s NOT a free service.
Is it?
I guess you don’t personally know any people who were maimed or killed by stupid speeding reckless drivers.
That’s OK. I don’t either.
But I am able to comprehend why speed limits exist.
How much do you think an ambulance ride to the ER costs the person crossing the road, who got hit by idiots like this one? Not to mention the pain and suffering and actual medical bills.
She got off easy, IMNSHO.
I was instructed by my father very early on that there were two kinds of people to never argue with, judges and police officers. Not to kowtow but to just treat with respect. As a successful moonshine man he managed to never end up in jail following that code. So I’ve always counted it as sound advice and been well treated in return.
It is amazing how a philosophy of “don’t be a dick” can get you not just with cops but in life in general.
1. It’s amazing how quickly cops can release video when it suits them.
2. The video is cut and doesn’t show the entire incident.
3. If the lady going 51 mph is dangerous, why isn’t the cop popping a U and speeding after her equally dangerous?
4. The PBSO has a drama queen charged with writing captions on their video.
5. Releasing the video was spiteful and childish.
6. Releasing the video without her plate obscured was truly a b!tch move.
7. The Sheriif wonder what would happen is the tables were turned show that he misunderstands his place. He and his deputies are armed, banged, sworn and compensated. I expect them to behave better than the average jack a$$.
8. There’s no excuse for what the woman said.
A $606 ticket? That is way to high.
B-b-b-but, it's for the children.
A $606 ticket for 31mph over the speed limit? Really?! That can't be all he wrote her up for ........ are speeding tickets really that costly in Floriduh?
No "school zones" around private schools here.
Yes. Really. That’s probably all he wrote her up for.
Various counties can add extra percentages, but her minimum ticket, statewide, would be $555.50.
Don’t ever speed in a school zone here in Florida!
EVER.
Refer to http://www.dmvflorida.org/school-zone.shtml
The following is a cut and paste of the first paragraph:
School Zone Speed Limits
Take a guess at the biggest fine you can get for speeding. Think it’s $200 or $300, not even close. Fines are doubled for speeding in a construction or school zone. Get caught speeding more than 30 mph over the speed limit in a school or construction zone and the fine is $555.50.
There are still areas throughout the country, on private and/or rural roads, where the local citizens refrain from calling the LEOs, and will just shoot at your tires for speeding down their roads. School zone or not.
Keep your cell phone handy, while you walk to get a signal.
Because chances are nobody nearby has a phone to let you call AAA...bless your heart.
just my silent, perverse protest against county traffic people who, apparently, don't think my children and other private school students deserve the same protection.
And anyone dumb enough to shoot at my car would regret it pretty quickly.
That’s for starters. A $25 cell phone ticket in Los Angeles can be over $200 by the time additional fees are charged for courtroom costs and anything else they make up.
A right on red camera ticket will cost you over $500 here in San Diego.
Here in Houston there is no bus service or "walkers" to private schools as they are dropped off and picked up by passenger car.
I don't know about Florida but in Texas they NEVER reduce a school zone violation. They throw the book at you.
Fines double in school zones here in Socialist Hell of Illinois, however it doubles/triples in Construction Zones.
IIRC, one can be doing up to 21mph over the posted speed limit and still "qualify" for drivers re-education without it hitting your license. More than 21mph over the posted speed limit and it's a hefty ticket, drivers re-education and it goes on your license.
I recently got my first ticket since 1996 here in Illinois and opted to pay the fine, go to drivers re-education to keep it off my license so I'm familiar with how it works here in Illinois now.
Don't try to play stupid games here, when you are obviously not qualified to even sign up for a team!
The Florida “school zone speed” is typically 15 mph, twice a day, covering a fixed amount of time before and after school. We even have signs stating that.
I don't know where you park your “trailer”, but I seriously doubt you are an acknowledged local “bad ass”.
I've had my fill of loud mouthed perverse people “protesting” things, and I am willing to bet good money that you will be confronted by a vigilante sooner rather than later, and that nobody will have any reason to “regret” it, except yourself.
