Jerry Seinfeld Explains The Perfect Way To Handle Donald Trump
the FEDERALIST ^ | 11 Sep 15 | Sean Davis

Posted on 09/11/2015 6:29:07 AM PDT by elhombrelibre

Donald Trump, in case you haven’t noticed, loves to say ridiculous things. Saying ridiculous things is the secret to his media success. He got famous, after all, by humiliating and firing people on national television.

Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign has been no different. Earlier this week, he decided to attack Carly Fiorina’s personal appearance during an interview with Rolling Stone:

When the anchor throws to Carly Fiorina for her reaction to Trump’s momentum, Trump’s expression sours in schoolboy disgust as the camera bores in on Fiorina. “Look at that face!” he cries. “Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?!” The laughter grows halting and faint behind him. “I mean, she’s a woman, and I’m not s’posedta say bad things, but really, folks, come on. Are we serious?”

Yep.

Like I said, Beauty comes from within.

Mother Theresa had more wrinkles than Helen Thomas, but she was beautiful and the other became the standard for ugly right here on FR.

A lot of people just can't figure out why Trump is so popular with the voters....I am one of them and guess what, it doesn't matter what he does, what he says, who he says it to, we love him...

This isn't your ‘life time politics’ here, we are turning this country around on everyone so we get to vote for who WE want to vote for, and our guy is a flamboyance, off the cuff, say it like it is, and if you don't like what he says, or how he does stuff, that's your problem, not ours, he's OUR guy....and he's going to win...

I don't care how many dead people they dig up to vote, I don't care how many people they import to vote against him, he is going to win because WE are voting for him, he's OUR guy....

We range from 18=20 to 50-80 year old people, we older kids have been around politics and seen the lies, the underhanded deals, the b.s. pc. crap that everyone else trys to live to...nope, we want OUR guy Trump....and he's going to walk all over the media, talking heads, washington cartel, to get to the White House because he's OUR guy and we are his SUPPORTERS!!!

LOL!

A little trip to his/her home page shows an entire page of one-line ad-homs. No intelligent opinions, just attacks on fellow FReepers.

Oh Well...

So I did not even respond.

All I know is if this comes down to Jeb or Bernie, I’m voting for Kramer.

I agree with your assessment.

Politics is too important to be left to the politicians - and the American people have finally figured this out. These lying poltroons did it to themselves, and they deserve whatever the result is. I hope that you’re right, that Trump not only gets elected but completely resets politics in this country. It would be the revolution that Jefferson said that we needed every 20 years (and we are WAY overdue for one like that).

Hopefully it won’t come down to Jeb, but I would still vote for Jeb over a socialist and please don’t say there is no difference in Jeb and a socialist. Jeb would be one of my very LAST choices, but Bernie? Good Lord what are democrats thinking?

There’s not a chance.

Seinfeld’s scheme works on people with trivial issues.

Trump’s issues involve the life and death of nations.

Trump’s issue for example on the Iran deal is so serious that Seinfeld would look insane making light of it.

Only an ass would think he could persuade Trump’s opposition to make light of what the world faces today.

Another issue is political correctness. Political correctness literally kills. Look what happened to these people 60 years ago:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3334263/posts

Trump’s defiance of political correctness cannot be made light of. For example, the term ‘Anchor Baby’. Trying to make light of Trump using this term would ignore the lawlessness of the border and the defects and loopholes in our judiciary system. Trying to make a joke of it would increase Trump’s appeal.

Seinfeld is moronic here. His approach doesn’t stand chance.

She’s already had a lot of plastic surgery. There’s only so much one can do. Anyway, if she was tough on immigration I’d be all for her, even if she literally looked like a Rhino.

Killing with kindness (and firm, quiet logic) seems to be Cruz’s technique for handling hecklers, including those pretending to be interviewers just “doing their job”. It’s the smart way. Over reacting with personal insult like Trump, or not responding at all like Jeb’s papa and frère, are not.

Trump is in the news because people are clicking links and because the media is pushing him on us. It doesn’t hurt his efforts that he has close ties with Fox, NBC and CNN media execs.

Makes me think he has been chosen for us by the same people who picked McLame, Mittens and Obama.

So Jerry, what you’re saying is that if BLM ppl showed up on your stage and demanded to he heard you would try to counsel them and feel your pain? Maybe let them talk?

How’d that work out for all the other candidates?

Does anyone remember reading 1/10,000th as much negative reactions to Barack Obama running for president?

Trump isn’t going to be everyone’s cup of tea, but seriously folks, this is an eye-opening moment.

Look at the collective against Trump.

That alone should scare the —— out of anyone not thinking of voting for him.

Be on their side, that side...

If I hadn’t planned on voting for him prior to this, I would be after this.

I’m still very much on the fence about Trump, but I am beginning to find it very tiresome the way he goes after people who disagree with him in such a personal way. It’s beginning to sound very childish, and it seems to be his straight-out go-to response. I like his stirring of the pot against the status quo, but I want to hear more of that, more of the “how I will rip apart this mess” rather than the personal insults.

If it’s down to Jeb and Bernie, I’m packing up the family and leaving the country because the US will fall into 3rd world status in pretty short order if it’s one of them.

Trust me, I’m not saying Jeb is anything wonderful but anyone that might slow the descent of our nation would be better than someone who would speed up the train, right? I wouldn’t blame anyone for leaving but it is obvious the people are fed up with the status quo so I don’t expect Jeb to be anywhere near the WH. Why else would people here, who normally would have made fun of Trump, be supporting him now? I am reminded of those who refused to vote for Romney - of course he wasn’t the conservative we were looking for but he has been proven to have been correct about several things that the government is supposed to be handling (like defense) - and at this point I think almost anyone would have been better than President Mom Jeans
