As a conservative I have long since resigned myself to having no political party that I could happily support. The Libs just voted themselves a world of trouble.

The leadership of the Liberal Party ( strange name to Americans I know since the Liberal Party is the more conservative party in Australia ), as always been precarious.
Turnbull contested the leadership of the party in 2009 and lost by just one vote.
The worrying thing about Turnbull is despite being Catholic, he is odds with the church’s teaching on abortion, stem cell research and same-sex marriage ( add this to the fact that he is a supporter of the Carbon Credit reduction scheme ).
NOT A VERY GOOD TURN OF EVENTS IMHO.

Just from browsing information on him at wiki. Once a partner at Goldman Sachs, supports a carbon trading scheme and was once a member of an organization that wanted to change the Australian flag though apparently supports the flag now. Lots of globalist red flags in that resume.

Oh, dear. Abbott’s problem was that, like Maggie Thatcher, he was too honest and not sufficiently willing to grovel to the media. Any chance that he will return to office, or is he out, like Maggie was? She was also pushed out by RINO “Conservatives,” who were indistinguishable from the Labour Party.
