‘Glove box’ for glove compartment. That’s an ancient name for that ‘compartment’ in front of the passenger!
My dad was born in Scotland in 1916. Loved being around my grandparents with their Scottish burr.
Dad brought soccer (!) to a few communities on Long Island, New York, in the 1950’s.

Well I love the Scots, the Highlands have a lovely brogue, ‘um unlike the East End of Glasgow where even the rest of Glaswegians can’t understand a thing they’re talking about.

You mean your Dad brought football to a few communities on Long Island in the 1950s.
