My main concern is that there are not enough Russian helicopters and tanks. Yet. I wish Putin had more sea-lift capability. Given Assad’s enemies (ISIS and Al Qaeda), I’m rooting for Assad and the restoration of stability. I’m also hoping Europe will put all their “refugees” on trains back to their homes as soon as possible.

I want to be 12 again and even then knowing I was safe at night because that smiling confident looking guy (Reagan) was president.

Right you are.

When Ronald Reagan was in our White House, we could go to bed feeling safe, secure and optimistic. Tomorrow would always be better if we wanted it to be and we were proud to be Americans. We knew he was doing his best for us and America.

I guess this administration has never seen leadership and commitment before.

One of the few things Bush I said that i agreed with was that he felt safe going to sleep at night while Reagan was president.

He didn’t deserve his end!!!!! And Nancy, dealing NINE years with that!!! :(

God, life can be unfair/indifferent/difficult..choose your word

The only consolation is that RR didn’t see or comprehend what was happening to our country....the country he loved.

Yes, poor Nancy.

Over a year left with Obama. One year too many. This time next year everything may be very different.

The one thing we know for sure, as we've seen with each of the past near 7 years that Obama's been President, every single day the world gets more dangerous because the despot dictators and other evil doer's in this world know that Obama's just another limp wristed bedwitting liberal who isn't going to do anything to stop them.

We learned what happens to the world when America has a weak president (Carter) back in the late 1970's. That lesson, long since forgotten, is going to be re-learned the hard way once Obama's finally gone.

As crazy as it sounds, it reads like the Prologue to “Left Behind”

I didnt know that Pope and 266 stuff, I have distrusted this Pope since he was elected. Its hard for me as a Catholic to go from JPII, who alongside Reagan/Thatcher defeated Communist Russia to Francis who is some third world liberal from the open borders crowd now saying divorce and instances of abortion are ok....

Its just way too much too fast for me. I do think we are in End Times. I find myself withdrawing a little more each day.

The only people who really, truly understand the hell that family's of those with alzheimers go through, are others who've been in that same boat.

Been there, done that, wouldn't wish it on anyone. Period.

IMO, alzheimer's is unmercifully cruel on those with it, and their loved ones in ways that no other disease is.

Do you remember events of 1983?

Embassy and Marine Barrracks bombings in Lebanon?

Shoot down of Korean Air Liner 007?

Safe, wasn’t the feeling many felt at the time.

I sure do. My next door neighbor's brother was in the Marines and killed in that attack.

What a horrible, horrible day.

Yes, I remember those things. They were bad but didn’t threaten our country. And Ronald Reagan and his people were competent and dealt with them effectively before they got out of hand and did threaten us.

Yes, I felt safe. It was scary but not frightening.

“Al least somebody is going to Tango Down ISIS.”

We’ll see if they have gotten any better at asymmetrical warfare since Afghanistan.

Must vehemently disagree. The difference between then and now is then we had a government we felt could deal with the crises as they emerged.

Now? Well, errr. Not.
