On the eve of Pope Francis’s arrival in the U.S., the Vatican has taken offense at the Obama administration’s decision to invite to the pope’s welcome ceremony transgender activists, the first openly gay Episcopal bishop and an activist nun who leads a group criticized by the Vatican for its silence on abortion and euthanasia. According to a senior Vatican official, the Holy See worries that any photos of the pope with these guests at the White House welcoming ceremony next Wednesday could be interpreted as an endorsement of their activities.

Interesting. I’m glad to see the Vatican objecting to these guests.
Rush speculated whether Obama was doing this as an in-your-face gesture to the Pope, or if the Pope might have approved the guest list.
Looks like it’s in-your-face from the classless poser in the Oval Office.
The Pontiff could simply pass on the dinner. Apologize for a sudden queasiness and bow out. The photo op benefits obama not the Pope.
I wish the Pope would decline, but I wouldn’t bet on it.

His worshippers loved it then and reinforced their god-king’s classless behavior.

Yes I heard Rush mention that yesterday. I am praying the Holy Spirit works it for the Pope’s visit. Time will tell.
Haven't heard him mention it today, so I guess he hasn't seen this WSJ article on the subject. But it really is classless for Obama to set up a bunch of guests who would be at odds with many Catholic teachings.
And, of course, Obama will try to use the Pope to promote his global warming agenda and transferring money to poorer nations. Obama's shameless and classless.
