Donald Trump makes bold prediction about Rand Paul

Donald Trump has proven he isn’t one to shy away from making bold predictions, and Tuesday afternoon was no different.

Trump, the GOP’s downward trending front-runner, took to Twitter to predict that Rand Paul would be “driven out of the race” and that Paul would “announce soon.” He then noted that the Kentucky senator only has 1 percent support in recent polls.

@realDonaldTrump "Prediction: Rand Paul has been driven out of the race by my statements about him-- he will announce soon. 1%!

In a follow-up tweet, Trump said that he hopes “when Rand Paul gets out of the race — he is at 1% — his supporters will come over to me. I will do a much better job for them.”

@realDonaldTrump "I hope when Rand Paul gets out of the race—he is at 1%--his supporters come over to me. I will do a much better job for them."

It’s not the first time Trump has attacked Paul. The businessman infamously said “there was plenty of subject matter there” while talking about how Paul looks during the GOP debate.

Where was Paul to give Cruz a second on his motion to defund PP? Cruz was always there for him.

Paul is a fraud. There is your answer, vis a vis Cruz.

Rand used to have 15-10%. He lost most of them because he betrayed his supporters

And where was Lindsay, and Rubio? No where to be found it seems. Hiding behind Mitch’s skirts.

When Rand gets out, his people are mostly going to Cruz.

I think Rand Paul is probably the worst candidate running, worse than even ¡Yeb! or Pataki. That’s a pretty low bar, but Paul doesn’t even try to hide the fact that he’s a Muslim-lover.

Good job Trump!!!

He doesn’t attack unless you attack first....and we don’t let a post go by if there is something we can say to support Trump....

I really thought Paul would have a chance this time, but he hasn’t learned that his ‘friends’ are not in Washington D.C. but ‘outside’ Washington D.C.

Trump knows where his friends are and his ‘supporters’ are and he can count on all of us to keep him safe...

Very true. I use to support Rand Paul but not anymore. He’s as phony as they come.

.
When you make bold, courageous stands, as Cruz so often does, you don’t have tons of friends.

Rand Paul Super Pac Goes Dark

One of the three super PACs supporting Rand Paul’s presidential campaign has stopped raising money, dealing a damaging blow to an already cash-starved campaign.
In a Tuesday telephone interview, Ed Crane, who oversees the group, PurplePAC, accused Paul of abandoning his libertarian views -- and suggested it was a primary reason the Kentucky senator had plummeted in the polls.
. “I have stopped raising money for him until I see the campaign correct its problems,” said Crane, who co-founded the Cato Institute think tank and serves as its president emeritus. “I wasn’t going to raise money to spend on a futile crusade.”

“I don’t see the point in it right now,” he added.
