He was hit 7 times, but by moving, he gave the shooter a much more difficult target. I also think that God had to be watching over this man. He might have something else to accomplish.

Ben Carson has been bragging all week that he would charge head-on at gunmen, if he ever encountered one — and now he says he actually has been faced with that threat.
The Republican presidential candidate said Thursday morning that he had a gun drawn on him while visiting a Baltimore fried chicken restaurant, reported The Hill.
“I have had a gun held on me when I was in a Popeye’s organization,” Carson said on Karen Hunter’s Sirius XM Radio program.
“Guy comes in, put the gun in my ribs,” Carson said.
Carson said twice this week that the victims in last week’s Oregon community college shooting should have tried to tackle the gunman and would not “just stand there and let him shoot me.”
That’s exactly how Army veteran Chris Mintz got shot seven times and wounded during the massacre — although Carson admits he had never heard of him until a reporter asked.
So what happened when Carson allegedly faced just such a threat? He directed the gunman’s attention to an employee of the fast food restaurant.
“I just said, ‘I believe that you want the guy behind the counter,’” Carson said.
The retired brain surgeon did not explain what happened next.

So, far, this guy has been able to get out of the trouble his mouth has gotten him into. My gut feeling about him is that he won’t always be able to do that. Is this the one that sinks him? It sure resonates in a negative way with me more than any of the other mini ‘controversies’ he’s had.
United Airlines Flight 93, they knew they were dead either way. Of course their motive was more than survival, heroism, but just mentioning the rushing the shooter theory.
Considering his background, he’s earned the right to be arrogant.

As the satanic Hillary screeched: What difference does it make????? that Ben Carson has superior instincts even when he was a young man in assessing dangerous situations. It is just Apples and Oranges and it proves again how God is so prominent in the direction of his life.
I was a teller at a bank that was robbed. The robber got behind the teller line. I was at one end of the teller line and the first hit. I did not learn until it was over that there was another armed robber at the other end of the bank robbing the merchant teller. Unknown unknowns are your worst enemy in situations like that.
This is not difficult to understand.
In a fast-food robbery, chances are you are going to live. Keep calm, the guy grabs some cash, and its over. You can probably judge yourself from the demeanor of the person robbing the place, but you probably won’t risk your life or the lives of the people in the place to save $100 dollars from the register.
A mass shooter is different. He is going to kill you anyway. You have nothing to lose.
Now, I don’t know what I would do if I were confronted by a mass shooter, but its good that Carson is talking about it. Its good to get the idea in your head, when faced with almost certain death, don’t cooperate.
In the old days, airline hijackings weren’t taken seriously. So you took a detour to Cuba, big deal. So no one ever thought to resist. In the age of jihad, though, people know. Some guy jumps up and screams “allah akbar”, tackle him even if he hurts you. Its the only way you come out of this alive.
