Army leader raises specter of drafting women
Washington Examiner ^ | 10/12/15 | Jacqueline Klimas

Integrating women into combat will eventually force lawmakers to have an "emotional discussion and debate" about whether women should also be part of the draft, the Army secretary said Monday.

John McHugh said it's still too early to discuss whether women should have to sign up for the Selective Service as men have. But, as the military drives toward a Jan. 1 deadline to open some or all combat positions to women, McHugh acknowledged the country will need to have the conversation if women have the same opportunities in the military as men.

"If your objective is true and pure equality, then you have to look at all aspects and at some point Selective Service will have to be one of those things considered very carefully," McHugh said on the first day of the Association of the United States Army's annual meeting in Washington.

The three service secretaries submitted their recommendations to Defense Secretary Ash Carter this month on whether any positions should remain closed to women. The Navy secretary did not request any exemptions for the Navy or Marine Corps, but it's unclear what recommendations the other services made.

Carter is expected to make a final decision on which, if any, positions will remain closed by Jan. 1 after hearing input from top service leaders.

McHugh noted that a change requiring women to sign up for the draft would have to come from Capitol Hill, not the Defense Department or individual services.

Seriously, this should have been done 30 years ago. Think of the number of pregnancies taken to full term instead of aborted as women opt out of the military.

We would not have near the dead children in this country and would not have the claim that we need illegal immigrants to replace our aging population due to lack to reproduction.

This is a super idea.

Meant to say:

What God forsaken, stupid, asinine, useless patch of rock requires American cannonfodder this time? And when they TAKE your daughters, will that be enough to say, ENOUGH to the NWO?

“Voting should be contingent on having registered for Selective Service, for either sex.”

Depraved, I didn’t raise a daughter to have her be a soldier, or into forced national service changing bedpans in a Baltimore hospital.
I will resist and assist her in evading it.

Women want more than equality when it works for them, and special protection when it does not.

And experiments will have to be done to check the hypothesis.

1,000 females must be immediately drafted. No deferments.

They will be trained to be Light Infantry. No washouts or recycles. Pregnant? Soldier on.

They will then be deployed to Afghanistan as an all female battalion. They will engage in combat operations for one year. No early outs.

Welcome to the Infantry, ladies.

American manhood isnt demanding this. Radical womens groups and a homosexual president and army secretary are.

American manhood has been saying this is the worst idea since the floating pool toaster.

With no dds around. Total disaster because of that, and the fact we are so removed from God than the first baby boom. They were not and look how bad things turned out despite that.

And I would help you. A society which would use its women as an ablative shield outside of absolute necessity is wicked, doomed, and deserving of oblivion.

If women want equality, they should have to also shoulder equal responsibility, including the prospect of military service in national emergency. Thus, women should be required to sign up for the Selective Service System, just like men are.

They’ll gladly let them get drafted for the sake of ‘equality’. Knowing all the while that being ‘connected’ their kids will never set foot outside of CONUS.

Conservative rural girls on the other hand will get sent to Fallujah and other hellholes.

And in a generation there will be no more conservatives...Because there will be no more conservative women to have the conservative babies...

The Israelis do it. In fact, the Israelis have a manditory 2 year active duty requirement for all women (in non-combat roles), and a 6 year reserve commitment.

If they are going to open combat positions to women, then they can’t just limit it the women who request it. Unless I am mistaken, when men enlist they can request certain types of positions, but there is no guarantee they will get what they ask for. So someone who wanted to go into the MP’s, for example, could wind up as an infantryman if he did not qualify for the MPs, or if there were no postings open for that MOS. If that is true, then that will have to apply to women as well. So you could start seeing women who don’t WANT to be in combat positions put there regardless..

It doesn't say much for the state of American manhood that we would even think of something a idiotic as this.

Consider the source. A self-proclaimed fudge packer "leader" doesn't say much for American manhood either.
