But, knowing all of the crap that Clinton did, Bush did nothing to turn the tables upside down to eradicate it the moment he got into office. The fact that John Q. Public knew it, just what could one imagine was disseminated during the transition, even as late as it was.

The overriding fact is that with all of the warnings and threats from OBL himself, we recognized after the fact that the nation was fat, dumb and happy and we as a whole were asleep at the switch.

A proactive leader would have turned the tables upside down, fired others and cleared the decks to make sure those threats remained as that, threats. Instead, we had a government full of reactive politicians and we got nailed.

Thank God that Bush was able to react in a positive manner but then again covered for the Bin Laden family whisking them out of the country secretly while we had to cool our heels on a nationwide grounding of the entire commercial aviation system.

Then starts the “Religion of Peace” crap. Followed by the “Let’s go shopping!” They treated us like a bunch of children.

I am no fan of GWB, but if you'll recall his transition into office was rather turbulent. First there was the recall debacle on full tilt. Then there were the Democrats stalling on every appointment, particularly Ashcroft. There were even repairs to the White House because the children had trashed the place. My take is that Bush didn't get January 20 conditions until June. That leaves three months to fix a gutted military and and intelligence system. None of that is his fault.

Yes, Bush was admittedly unlikely to address the immigration system, but even if he had it is unlikely in the extreme that in three months anyone could turn that bureaucracy sufficiently to have deported all of the visa overstays in three months. Hence, to call 911 his fault just doesn't pass the smell test. It's typical Trump boolsheet.
