Just came out on Friday - it’s a faith-based movie from the Erwin Brothers (”God is NOT Dead”). It takes place in 1973 when Alabama greats Tony Nathan played for Woodlawn HS and Jeff Rutledge played for Banks HS (Both in Birmingham). It’s about the integration of the these schools in B’ham and about The Bear recruiting Touchdown Tony! Really a very good movie!
Might have to check it out.
Of course Tony Nathan’s big claim to fame was scoring on the famous “Hook and Ladder” play in the Dolphins classic playoff game against the Chargers.
