The Tea Party started as a Libertarian leaning group, focused on lower taxes and opposition to Obamacare. They lost on both issues and faced the opposition of the elitist Statists in both parties.

First off there is no THE T Party. It’s a loose or barely existent collection of conservative organizations and individuals who love the constitution and liberty.
