Ted Cruz’s campaign gains strength ahead of Iowa caucus crunchtime

WASHINGTON–It’s been a good few weeks for Sen. Ted Cruz’s presidential campaign.

After reporting the most money in the bank of any Republican and placing third in an Iowa poll, Cruz inherited former Gov. Rick Perry’s Texas millionaire backers and signed on Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick as his campaign’s Texas chairman.

With less than 100 days until the Iowa Caucuses, Cruz is in a good spot, and that’s due in part to a balanced fundraising base and a strong campaign infrastructure that’s consolidating conservatives.

Cruz has raised $26.5 million since he launched his campaign on March 23, second only to former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush among Republicans. And according to the Washington Post, Cruz has won over a balanced base of wealthy patrons and small-dollar grassroots conservatives.

...

Cruz’s hefty bank account is helping him ramp up his Iowa ground game with roughly four months to go until the Feb. 1 caucuses, according to Politico. The campaign’s Iowa team jumped up from two paid staffers to eight, and Cruz is lining up support from prominent state conservatives.

Cruz has long insisted that conservatives needed to line up behind one winning candidate if they wanted to take the GOP nomination and the general election. Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker appeared to be his biggest threat before his campaign collapsed, and most of Cruz’s conservative rivals lack the resources his campaign does.

Slow and steady. It’s still too early to peak.

The cream rises to the top eventually, and I’m hoping Ted gets there at primary time.

I believe in this guy so much, I won’t even consider anyone else. He’s my only choice. The others don’t even come close.

The time is growing short but I think Cruz still has time. Hopefully, 4 months will be enough.

So far, I like everything about Ted Cruz, except some of his wife's associations.

Now we will see what he is made of. How he reacts to this monstrosity of a budget that is being rushed through by our supposed "leaders" in Washington will show his mettle.

This IS going to pass. How will he vote? How will your Reps and Senators vote? This thing is illegal on it's face. Legally, a congress cannot tie the hands of the next Congress. If this passes, it is surely headed to the Supreme Court. Do you want to bet on this Court? We need to throw out EVERY Congressman who votes for this atrocity.

Hurry, while the internet is still operating. One flick of the switch, and it's gone. TV is gone, why do you think it has gone from broadcast to cable to satellite?

Last week, the prostitute Pentagon released the story about Russian submarines lurking about near our undersea cables. Why, they could cut them in very hard to get at places and cripple trade to the tune of BILLIONS of dollars a day.

" OMG,they, or someone, cut the cables. To prevent chaos I must regrettably declare martial law. You will not be able to get any news. It is only for a brief time. Our best minds are working on it, it is only temporary. To protect our satellites,we have to shut them down."

Some such scenario will be used to blind us and make us beg the Gov't to take care of us.

I know this sounds far-fetched, but I have come to expect the worst from PROFESSIONAL POLITICIANS.

Throw the Bastiges out. Elect common men, like the founders intended, they weren't so dumb. ARE WE????

I'm sorry for the rant, but it is what my years have taught me to expect from this "government".

Wow, the propaganda by a few resident Trunp freepers tell us that Ted Cruz is struggling in the polls.

Ted Cruz might as well be AG sarcasm.
