HOUSTON, Texas - Following his strong showing in the CNBC Presidential Debate, Senator Ted Cruz announced that his campaign had raised $1,125,978 in the first 22 hours after the debate. The average donation was $54.

Ted Cruz: We raised over $1.1 million since the #CNBCGOPDebate (video)

"This level of support shows just exactly how energized and excited people are by our campaign," said Cruz. "Whether it's on the stage or on the stump, we are telling the truth to the American people about how broken and unaccountable Washington is, and how it's going to take consistent conservative leadership to get America back on track. We are seeing conservatives begin to coalesce around my campaign. It's Tea Party groups, libertarians, evangelicals, social conservatives, and millions more who have been disappointed by the career politicians and lobbyists of the Washington Cartel. People want to unite behind someone who will take on Washington and I believe that's why we're seeing such tremendous support."

The fundraising haul comes after the recent announcement that the Cruz campaign has more than 77,000 volunteers signed up across the nation. Following the debate 790 new people signed up to volunteer.

Cruz also spends his money wisely...unlike some of the others.

He can’t win. The Ron Paul, er, Trump online poll pushers have declared that the Donald decisviely won last night! In fact Trump was already the winner before the debate even began./sarc

Sad day in FR land. It use to be a guy with a performance as strong as Cruz would have the support to FReep any poll. But the Ron Paul, er, Trump poll pushers have taken over this election cycle.

Sad to watch.

I’ve not seen Trump supporters say that
He didn’t badly and I’d say was second in the debate by forcing the moderators to admit they’d just lied about the format change.

Cruz, Trump, Rubio and Christie all did remarkably well and don’t like either Christie or Rubio

I’m a big Cruz fan and I need a clean and complete youtube clip from last nights debate.

Just the Cruz replies but with the questions that prompted them.

He got off one zinger that people are acting like it totally defeated the media and the Democrats for the next 200 years.

Seriously calm down. Many of the candidates got off good lines. That does not mean that Cruz is entitled to votes no matter how many times the amount of mine he raised gets spammed per hour nor how many photos of him and his kids get reposted.

No support for other candidates is so weak as to be swayed by that.

Wow! It is the small donations that reflect a huge base of support. This is wonderful news.

Trump probably earned more than that in interest, during the debate.

Most of the candidates did well. The usual under-performers did their thing too.

Temporary bounces are coming for some, but really nothing new here to hang your hat on.

Anybody else catch Brett POS Baier being rude to Cruz tonight on his show? Cruz said something about raising a lot of money that had been sent to tedcruz.org and Brett Baier said “you have said that 3 times already” and he looked annoyed. I guess the media are all taking last night personally.

Yeah, how come they give Trump a pass on hiring people with H-1B visas ?

I guess some hypocrisy is more equal than others when looking through Trump rose colored glasses.

Most of them are not from Freeperland, keep that in mind.

The usual suspects will go on over to whom ever the DNC nominates.

Right , no matter how many pictures of Trump for his adoring fans, or photos of his family does not entitle Trump to votes, nor how many zingers Trump spits out against the media won’t defeat the media or the Democrats for the next 200 years.

I was responding to this:

"Most of them are not from Freeperland, keep that in mind.

It may make you feel better to say things like this but if you check the join dates of Trump supporters you will find that most ARE from "Freeprland" and will most likely NOT go on over to whom ever the DNC nominates.

Sad day in FR land. It use to be a guy with a performance as strong as Cruz would have the support to FReep any poll. But the Ron Paul, er, Trump poll pushers have taken over this election cycle.

Sad to watch.

Another sad thing to watch is all those who carp about the lay of the land, yet don't invest anything towards changing it.

Cruz, FR, anything worthwhile needs and deserves financial support if those who espouse their support really expect anything to change for the better.

Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:
I prefer Cruz and my money goes to his campaign, hence the Cruz link. If you like someone else, donate to him/her (find your own link to do it) and if you use FR and don't donate, then please don't complain about the welfare leeches or those who have Obama Phones because, functionally, you are no different than any other FReeloader.....

GO CRUZ!! Keep it up Trump!!

Donate to Cruz

Donate to FR
