Without a substantial carbon tax the government won’t have as much money to fritter away to no good end.
I’ve got a much better idea: we should tar and feather everyone who promotes carbon taxes.

You DO realize that tar is CARBON, don’t you? YOU and your idea is EXACTLY why they REALLY want a carbon tax: protection from the peasantry.
