Tonight, going through all of your questions, I wanted to touch on a few issues that seem to be asked by many people.
I would like to deal with one question tonight in some detail. The issue is experience. Several people ask what they should tell their friends when people say âI like Carson but he has no political experienceâ.
You are absolutely right â I have no political experience. The current Members of Congress have a combined 8,700 years of political experience. Are we sure political experience is what we need. Every signer of the Declaration of Independence had no elected office experience. What they had was a deep belief that freedom is a gift from God. They had a determination to rise up against a tyrannical King. They were willing to risk all they had, even their lives, to be free. Today we find ourselves with an entire class of politicians. No one in Philadelphia, during that summer our nation was born, dreamed that service was a career with a pension. America was the land of the Citizen Statesmen. They were merchants, lawyers, farmers â and yes, even doctors. They were willing to stand for freedom. Today, the political class stands in the way, not for the people. They demand pensions and perks. This is not what our Founders envisioned for America. I spent my life treating very ill children...

Game, set, match.
Sorry. May be a nice moral guy but if this former Chief of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins really believes that the Egyptian pyramids were granaries, then he himself has a few screws loose and should not be considered for the Presidency.
That is not exactly correct.
Granted, some had elected experience, and some did not... but those that did, served in various capacities - provincial assemblies, perhaps as judges, magistrates or other public duties. Indeed, as signers, they were elected by their constituent assemblies to represent their "colony"/"state" at the Continental Congress.
well, he is not, and doesn't claim to be a Grain Surgeon.
For a person who has not managed so much as a hospital, how can he manage a country.
And yes, Obama had no executive or managerial experience...and look what that gave us.
If being affable was a crucial presidential trait, Carson would be far ahead of the pack, unfortunately he lacks the temperament and fire to inspire. Still, if he’s all we got in the end he’s got my vote for better or worse.
Our country was founded by men who were Leaders. Carson is not equipped to lead.
Funny.
“O” has next to NO so-called ‘political experience’ ... and HIS background (academic, professional AND personal) did not seem to present an impediment to his WH campaigns.
Everyone might as well face it....the bar was set SO LOW for Obama to even be CONSIDERED, that for all intents and purposes, there is NO BAR AT ALL, NOW where US Presidential candidacy is concerned!
correction....Chauncey
Grain-storin’ Ben makes some good points here.
Do members of SDA declare CO when they register for the draft? Did Dr Ben? Is there any way to check?
He’s not a leader. Leadership is what is needed.
And, no, he isn’t Moses either.
8)...his adviser Armstrong Williams supports Farrakhan
You can add his weak positions on illegal immigration and the Second Amendment.
Top reasons not to vote for Carson
No business experience outside of a medical practice.
No political experience.
No foreign policy experience.
Member of a cult religious organization outside of mainstream Christianity = poor role model.
His religious organization has pacifist beliefs making him totally unfit to be Commander in Chief.
Wants to abolish Medicare in favor of health savings plans, that would be totally inadequate as insurance.
9. Weak on defense of 2nd amendment (I saw the video of him saying if you lived in the city you should NOT have certain guns, but if you lived in the country it would be OK.)
10. His belief that Government should make vaccines mandatory. (Government should NOT be involved in healthcare decisions for anyone.)
