Christopher Hope has just got back from the afternoon Lobby briefing. He writes:
British security experts were sent to Sharm El Sheikh airport to improve security at the end of last year, the Prime Minister's official spokesman has confirmed.
Teams went to Egypt 10 months ago to check security at the resort and the airport. "There are now a number of measures in place around Sharm to strengthen security", she said.
The UK Government was satisfied by the changes made by the Egyptians in the wake of the visit.
Interesting, the Brits "helped" the Egyptians with airport security before "ISIS" placed a bomb on the Russian aircraft.
During the cold war, I used to have this fantasy about an alien race attacking Earth and how the US and USSR would have to unite to survive.
In fact, President Reagan even spoke of this concept to Gorbachev (or one of the USSR leaders), although I didn’t find out about that until just a few years ago.
Anyway, wouldn’t it be ironic if that concept turns out to actually happen, but the alien race is the followers of Islam.
Putin will lay waste to ISIS now. A tactical nuke in Raqqa would shut them up for awhile. ‘Shock and awe’ like we’ve not seen before. The Russian people want retaliation!
All the security in the world will not help in the face of subversion...........................
I would not be surprised if the Zero Administration knew about this bomb plot but did nothing to stop it. Didn’t the Zero Administration ‘warn’ Russia just a couple weeks ago about consequences for attacking ISIS?
I don’t think Putin would actually use a tactical nuke, but it sure would shut them the hell up!............................

I think it was a combination of gravity and dirt that bent the tail.
What detached it from the rest of the plane is of some interest though.
Don't know, do know when Russian FSB shared intelligence with US identifying and predicting Chechnyan Boston Marathon bomber, US failed to act or pass on that intelligence.
As a general rule, when one nation receives intelligence from another with which that nation doesn’t have the best relationship, that intelligence is always suspect - especially if the nation receiving the intelligence has nothing to corroborate it.

Inertia of the tail itself, at crash. Plane structure stops, but tail continues downward path.
Kind of like internal organ damage during a car crash. Body stops, but heart doesn’t and it rips aorta loose.
