ObamaCare leaves 250 cancer patients in peril (Pelosi knew)
NY Post ^ | 11/06/15 | Carl Campanile

Some 250 patients receiving treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center are facing a crisis because they signed up with the only ObamaCare insurer in New York that provides coverage at the world-renowned hospital - and the insurer is going bust.

Now the patients either have to find new insurers and doctors or pay higher out-of-pocket costs for extended care at Sloan.

State regulators are removing Health Republic Insurance of New York from the ObamaCare exchange as of Nov. 30 because the company is gushing red ink - losing more than $130 million in 18 months.

There are alternatives to chemo and radiation. www.ChristianPatriot.com/b17.htm has videos that while no where near as good as the book, WORLD WITHOUT CANCER, gives a good overview.

Well, it’s really a lot cheaper and easier to get 250 new and guaranteed (D) voters across the border. These people just fell through the cracks of progress, I suppose.

Interesting. My only employee has cancer & our insurance carrier is/was Horizon Blue Cross. I was kept on the policy for the only reason, to keep our employee in a group insurance plan. I waived coverage every year for the past 19 years. Last year our employee was diagnosed with liver cancer. Underwent surgery and chemo and is unable to work due to “chemo brain”. We have been paying her salary since January, she briefly returned to work this spring until September, then we had to let her go since she can no longer write or perform her duties. We are working to help her get disability. On Friday I was told by my Agent that she would have to apply for Obamacare insurance instead of COBRA, which of course, we were going to pay. I fear that this will be a death sentence for her...

They are the ones Obama was talking about when asked about somebody’s grandma.....”maybe we should be thinking about sending her home with a pill.....”

To a Democrat/liberal/progressive, your only value is your vote. When they get enough ‘votes’ and consolidate their power, they don’t even need the votes - you are subjects then.

I don’t know of the specific illness or condition of which I will ultimately succumb, but like ALL OF YOU, I will ultimately die of OBAMACARE! And the GOPe and all political elites are doing NOTHING to change that. In short, politicians DO NOT CARE if you live or DIE!!!

If this were a Republican President, the NY Times would carry a front page profile for the next 250 weeks: the life story of every single cancer patient being abandoned by Obama.

Doesn’t Obummercare guarantee to reimburse insurance companies for losses in excess of 5% of estimated claims in order to protect insurance companies?

I will check that out. I’m currently doing what I call modified Gerson, modified Essiac, and H2O2 for what is being called poorly differentiated neoplasm of unknown primary. Pathologist #1 diagnosed it as uterin sarcoma, pathologist #2 diagnosed it as bone sarcoma, and pathologist #3 diagnosed it as epithelial carcinoma. My slides are now at Harvard awaiting diagnosis #4. So far all of my scans have been clean, although my last CT indicated <5 mm spots on my liver. I have an MRI Tuesday for a closer look at that. Nobody knows what I have or from where it came but they all (three different oncs and a radiologist) have the same answer: chemo and radiation.

It sounds strange, but I’ve prayed for signs that I’m doing the right thing and He keeps giving them to me. My cousin is a pathologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering and she has been like a guardian angel through this whole thing. In fact, I would have had a total hysterectomy this summer if she hadn’t questioned the original diagnosis.

I can’t help but think of the billions spent on research and what we have to show for it. But maybe that’s just my tinfoil hat buzzing.

Sounds like what happened with our son - fortunately we had the funds to be able to dish out $9K to take care of initial deductibles and transfer to "ObamaCare"

Would have cost us more except the hospitals/doctors still can't refuse treatment and the medical folks actually paid for his first couple months of ObamaCare because the return was way bigger than treating without insurance...

This coming year his ObamaCare premiums are gong up 50% and his deductible is doubling.

Prayers up for her.

I think your talking about the temporary risk corridor program. It didn't generate the excess funds necessary to give to plans in trouble. That is one of the reasons the co-ops have been failing...

Our son was declared “cancer free” for almost 6 months then they found another instance on his adrenal gland and around a kidney. Another round of chemo is underway and we will know the effects around Christmas. Because of the increases in his costs, we may need to give more financial assistance (he’s my wife’s son from another marriage and I consider him my son). Fortunately we are retired and planned well enough that we can foot some more expenses so i told my wife to follow her heart and ignore her brain as he is her only child (even though he’s 48) and I don’t want her or I to have any regrets when his time comes.
