WHITE PLAINS - Officials at Simon Malls are rolling back their new space-age Santa display at the Westchester Mall in White Plains.

Its new, space-aged Santa display upset many shoppers earlier this week. Instead of elves, reindeer and a tree, the display flanked Santa with fake glaciers.

In a statement earlier in the week, mall management had said elements would be added, including a traditional Christmas tree.

Seems like it's a trend amongst Simon Malls. North Carolina, Long Island and now Westchester. They need a good boycott.

They should keep it traditional. Muslims know the shopping is for Christmas, if they are pious they will stay away anyways, its haram for them to even be there.

I can’t remember the last time I voluntarily set foot in a mall.

Had to take the kids a couple of times when they were in high school, but that’s been at least 8 years.

They have removed it at Southpark, Charlotte, NC, apparently.

My old stomping grounds.

What is this, Global Warming Santa?

Instead of “Ho ho ho”, he’ll say “Hot, hot, hot”?

They will be either removing or enhancing it at the Westchester. In either event, a terrible PR move by Simon.

Not only is Westchester County my old shopping grounds, I own stock in the company. I’ll try and get hold of them.

They bought out Mills Corporation a few years ago, so if your local mall has “Mills” in its name, it’s likely a Simon property.

Ditto. Well, actually I can. I went to the Radio Shack store (since declared bankruptcy) looking for a battery for my cordless phone. They didn't have it.

Later discovered Batteries Plus (which is not in a mall) had the battery. This was at least 6 or 7 years ago.

How nice it would be to take my Grandaughter to a display of the reason for the season. Also, we could see a display on the Thanksgiving story. New Years could be as secular as it actually is. Some dragon dances would be fine for that. However the other two holidays should reflect their original nature festive as they are. It’s a season to celebrate but not to consume, consume, consume.

Cindy Simon Skjodt is a hard core Lefty. Recently held a fundraiser here in Indy for Madam Cankles.

That’s reason enough for me to boycott their malls.

Well they have to celebrate the birth of the first pedophile prophet goat humper caravan raider slime, mo-ham-ed, may goat piss be upon him.

Instead of the three wise men, the baby mohammed's daddy and his "life partner" were visited by the Three Wiseguys....

I do not do any shopping in stores except for groceries. Everything is done online. If I think of something at midnight, I shop. Whole lot better than being in crowds and traffic.

“Amazon.com Prime Rules”

Exactly! We have a dozen malls within a half an hour’s drive and neither of us have been in any of them for at least ten years. And there are any number of reasons outside of their “Christmas Decorations” that for us, make them an undesirable place to shop.
