Levin has also said that anyone supporting TPP should not be considered for the nomination, so that eliminates Carson. Why don’t he and Rush quit shadow boxing with all this B.S. and start calling out these candidates on the issues.

Has Mark ever called out his buddy Ted Cruz on trying to have it both ways on TPP? Voting for cloture to move it along and then claiming he’s against it to be on record as opposing it? I’ve typically enjoyed Mark over the years but he’s been irritating me lately. I think he’s another one who doesn’t know how to properly assess this election.
If he was in high school and the good general did a tour of various high schools and talked to high performing black kids about applying, why would there be a record of anything.
I don’t think Carson said that he applied, just that it was suggested that he should.

Oh no. My records from 1969 indicate almost nothing about my life. I do recall military riot control training being one of the last things I did before being discharged in 04-69 even though the MLK riots happened in 68. Kerry remembers incursions into Laos in December 1968 under Nixon. Must be a 60’s thing.

I can, though, tell you what he wore and looked like as I walked with him outside after his talk.
Ben Carson and some decent reporters have now been able to verify many of the things he wrote in his book or said in speeches, something the leftist media failed to do over a period of months.
Journalism has now been subverted and perverted to the point that honest journalism is now a secondary thought for much of the mainstream media.
Little unimportant things become a “force majeur” while the truth takes on a JV status.
Best defense against this perversion is to take good notes (and date them), photos if possible, and save newspaper clippings of events that you have attended, if you are or plan to be in the public eye. Best way to shut your enemies up.
I know that most people can’t do this, but for those who write, it is crucial that you save your documentation, notes, etc. for every story you write (even if they are not published), because there is always some leftist bastard who will try to take you down, as you have seen here at FR.
Your documentation can put a big stake through the Lying Left and we need more of that on every level of communication in the country.
It is time that we took the media back from our enemies and their dupes. Ben Carson and honest journalists are doing it, so we need to follow his lead.

Cruz and Sessions did their best to make TPA a bill that would preempt the problems currently in the TPP bill. Rand Paul and another Senator blocked their immigration language amendment, which was a large part of Cruz’s ultimately voting “No”.
Looking at the dates, I think I figured out that if he did talk directly to Westmoreland, it would have been after the deadline for beginning the application process anyways. In other words, Carson was telling a fairy tale.

100% correct. But voters seldom are policy wonks. Impressions on TeeVee clips is what matters to 90% of voters.
Christianity is not about turning your people over to muslims and communists. Never was or will be.
Nor is christianity about promoting and empowering evil. God pretty much tossed his right hand man over it idea. I’ll go with his example.
Cruz has never supported TPP(the Trans Pacific Partnership). What he did originally support before ultimately opposing was the TPA (Trade Promotion Authority) which allows all trade deals negotiated by the executive to be given an up or down vote with no amendments. He had originally supported the TPA because it would help the next president (who will hopefully be a conservative) to negotiate good trade deals without the unions being able to gum up the works.
Actually, Mark, as always, is right. Westmoreland was in Detroit. Simply not on the exact date Carson gave in his book (or in an interview). But quite close to the date he did give.
