A Utah judge reversed his decision to take a baby away from her lesbian foster parents and place her with a heterosexual couple after the ruling led to widespread backlash.
Judge Scott Johansen signed an order, which was released Friday, that will allow the 9-month-old baby to stay with April Hoagland and Beckie Peirce, a married couple who live in the city of Price.
It comes after Johansen said in court Tuesday that the baby would be removed from the couple's home. Utah officials and the couple filed court challenges demanding the judge rescind the order.
In his first decision, Johansen cited research that shows children do better when raised by heterosexual families. However, the American Psychological Association has said there's no scientific basis that gay couples are unfit parents based on sexual orientation.
Messages left with Jim Hunnicutt, a lawyer for the couple, and the Utah Division of Child and Family Services seeking comments on the judge's revised order were not immediately returned Friday.
Hoagland and Peirce are among a group of same-sex married couples who were allowed to become foster parents in Utah after last summer's U.S. Supreme Court ruling that made gay marriage legal across the country. State officials don't keep an exact count but estimate there are a dozen or more foster parents who are married same-sex couples.

The psychological, spiritual, emotional and other trauma this judge has just sentenced this poor child to in the name of political correctness and the militant/fascist homosexual agenda is immeasurable.
I pray there's a special place in hell for this judge and for anyone who damages children in this way.

Campbell’s Soup, Two Men feeding their Toddler Son while reciting Darth Vader’s line, “I am your Father”. The second Guy says, “I am your other Father”.
Amica Car Insurance and State Farm Ins. also have them as I recall. I still remember the Well’s Fargo Bank Ad with two Lesbians meeting their adopted Daughter for the first time.

Hopefully kids brought up in imposter families with two moms or two dads will start suing their ‘parents’ for emotionally damaging them beyond repair!
It’s funny how the judge will give in to ‘widespread’ (whatever that means? a coupel of groups protested the decision?) protest when it comes to gays, but he would never give in to widespread protest IF Christians and conservatives protested en mass over this reversal
What law was he upholding when he took the child away from the gay couple? If the state says that homosexuals can be foster parents and if the two people in question were licensed as foster parents then it isn't the judge's place to make a new law. The problem lies with the existing law and solution is rewriting it, and that is the responsibility of the state legislature.
The apostrophe is in the title on the ABC News site. I suspect it’s just carelessness, and not ineptitude.
We have an example of what happens to children who are "adopted" into militant homosexual families who seek to push their perverted agenda no America: Rosie O'Donnell's "daughter" Chelsea.
The damage that poor child has suffered being "raised" by that foul, evil, Rosie O'Donnell is unmistakable for anyone who chooses to objectively look at that child and everything that's going on around her to know my statement above is true.
So, now we no longer have Justice by means of the Constitution but vox paucioribus?
And that University President in Missouri is resigning for the exact same reason.
It makes no difference what will happen to the baby. Even if they were going to butcher her and serve her for lunch, they would have an absolute right to do that. This is Obamamerica.
