The purpose of islam is to subjugate all people under sharia.
The Koran states it very clearly...There are two spheres: The Dar al-Harb, which is the realm of war and the Dar al-Islam, which is the realm of submission. There is no middle ground. You’re either at war or you’re under submission.
Are these the defining goals of a religion?
Also, would you please list the laudable elements of islam?
I already mentioned fasting and almsgiving.
Islam is also opposed to most (not all) of the sexual revolution in the West (abortion, same-sex “marriage”, filth from Hollywood, etc.).
I think religion needs a moral code (obviously no two religions will agree 100%), a God (or gods), and maybe an afterlife. Islam has all of these.
Nota Bene: Please do not mistake my argument for one of Islam is mostly good. I am not saying that. I guess I am sort of playing Devil’s Advocate to almost everyone else on FreeRepublic.
