Watch out, world: Sarah Palin said she's open to running for political office again.
The former Alaska governor touched on a possible return to politics during a wide-ranging interview on CBS's "Sunday Morning." "This will always be home," she said of Wasilla, Ala. "I would know that I could always come back here."
"You're willing to run again?" the interviewer asked.
"I'd be willing. That's a good way to put it," Palin said.
The former Republican vice presidential nominee left the political scene after the GOP's White House defeat in 2008. Apart from endorsements here and there, her primary political outlet is Facebook, where she writes notes to 4.5 million followers. She mentioned no specific plans to run for office, but she didn't shy away from giving an opinion on the 2016 Republican presidential primary.
"Right now, I would say that fighter is Donald Trump, because he's got nothing to lose," Palin said. "He doesn't have to be bought or sold, obviously, especially when it comes to contributions. He is his own man."
Palin defended her no-holds-barred style.
"I think too many people worry about being too divisive, or they worry about the politically correct police who will tell them, you know, to 'sit down and shut up because you're politically incorrect.' I'm like, 'That's part of the problem in our country right now,' " she said.

That ship sailed long ago.
Mayor of Wasilla
As he would say....She's a very nice lady.
Make a good Senator.
The Dems do not worry about it. They just do it and then blame Republicans.
Maybe next year she can primary Murkowski.
Apparently Trump and Palin just visited a few days ago

Starts out snarky and shows off ignorance or illiteracy.
compost writer thinks Palin’s home will always be Alabama.
Much though I like her — FReepers with long memories may even recall that I advocated her choice as a running mate for McCain before it was made, when the main issue in the run-up to the 2008 election was not the financial collapse, but oil prices — if Palin ever actually wants elective office again, she’ll need to tone down her reality-TV persona and run for state-wide office in Alaska again with lots of retail politics and a heavy, serious focus on state-wide issues. If she served a term or two in the Senate, or a full term as Governor, or better still, both, she could probably be presidential timber down the road a bit.
I would love to see Sarah as a Senator from Alaska. Could she garner enough support up there to pull it off??
Trump said early on that he wanted Sarah Palin in his cabinet.
Sarah was once the head of Alaska’a Oil and Gas Commission.
Perhaps Trump is eyeing her for Secretary of Energy. Who knows.
You know Donald we could make twice as many heads explode with just rumors.
I was just thinkin about her running again. Hope she does.
She would be willing to run again?
THAT should put a whole hell of a lot of red diaper doper’s panties in a wad.
Run Sarah run.
Eliminate the Department of Energy. Fold its few useful functions into the Department of the Interior. Appoint Palin Secretary of the Interior.
Donald, are you listening?
Sarah would need about 6 million bucks to give the Senate a go. First the primary with Murkowski and the the general election if she wins. Maybe the Donald will finance her? Netter him than Exxon.
Sarah, with the utmost respect, move to New York and begin your political journey from this state like another prominent presidential candidate has done. New York is not so far from Alaska and you could pull a ‘Nancy’ to travel home frequently. Of course, most realize this is said with sarcasm (all but the RESPECT) portion).
