It is with a heavy heart that I am making this statement. This morning my family experienced the tragic loss of my father, Dick and mother, Joan. My Dad had been ill and died of a heart attack in the hospital and my Mom, less than an hour later had a sudden heart attack and passed away. They say you can die of a broken heart and I believe it. I would like to honor my parents for all that they did throughout my and my brothersâ and sisterâs lives. My parents were always there for their children, from the days my Dad coached us as kids and my Mom would work the concession stands, through to this morning. The most important part of their 56 years of marriage was providing opportunities to their children. They were incredible parents and Grandparents and my family and I will miss them both. On behalf of me and the entire Flutie family, I would like to thank you all for your well wishes and prayers during this difficult time.
Including his family in my prayers.
I absolutely believe you can die of a broken heart and that must’ve happened to his poor mother. What a shame - Flutie has always been a good guy.
Prayers. Gees
How tragic. God bless them.
My prayers for them.
It is well that God only gives us two parents. It hurts horrible when you lose them.
Praying for you Doug and your family.
What a terrible double tragedy- to lose both parents the same day- prayers being sent for the Flutie family-our Lord be near them and comfort them through this sad and difficult time.
A gentleman I used to work with is very good friends with Flutes from his hometown. I’ve had the pleasure of his company on several occasions. Such a blow to a very classy guy.
.
This is very common.
People that have been together for a long time tend to die together too.
.
Prayers Up and may God bless
As a Nurse I’ve seen this many times but still tragic for any family
My condolences to the Flutie family.
But Doug is a misinformed gun grabber. I feel sorry for his lack of understanding of how Liberty works.
RIP....sad.
Wow. What a tough blow for the family.
prayers up for him
Good God... heartbreakingly tragic...
Prayers up for Doug Flutie and his family.
Yes
May you all be comforted by the Lord’s mercy. Many of us
have experienced the loss of parents & it isn’t easy.
Bless those who mourn, eternal God,
with the comfort of your love
that they may face each new day with hope
and the certainty that nothing can destroy
the good that has been given.
Their memories become joyful,
their days enriched with friendship,
and their lives encircled by your love.
Amen.
My heartfelt condolences to the Flutie family and their friends.
