MALI: The al Qaeda affiliated group which has claimed responsibility for the hotel siege on Twitter is known as al Mourabitoun.
The group is based in northern Mali, and their claims are yet to be verified.
Interesting that this hotel is owned by a Belgium company. The Paris terrorists were traveling back and forth through Belgium. Possibly related.
Funny thing about that. There’s plenty of competition between various jihadists. .imagine the AlQ gangs are none too happy with the attention ISIS has received recently.

MALI: Sky News has spoken to a local Bamako politician who is the son of the Malian president, Ibrahim Boubacar Keita.
Karim Keita claimed the attackers had entered the hotel by following an American embassy car which was entering the premises for a meeting.
He adds: “They entered directly through the hotel doors firing in the hotel rooms and killing three people.
“And now they are in the top of the hotel, probably in the sixth or seventh floor from where I look from now.
“But from now the special forces may have been able to extract 79 people out of the hotel.”

MALI: Death toll rises
Eighteen bodies have been recovered from the Mali hotel siege, according to the AFP news agency - however, it is unclear whether some of the attackers are among the dead.
