U.S. Border Patrol agents detained five undocumented border-crossers from Pakistan and another from Afghanistan near Patagonia this week.
The individuals were detained Monday along with two smugglers, the Border Patrol said in a statement issued Thursday. Patagonia Marshal Joe Patterson said the arrests occurred in the Rail X Ranch Estates neighborhood just northeast of town, near Milepost 22 on State Route 82.
âAs a standard procedure, agents processed the six individuals and checked their identities against numerous law enforcement and national security-related databases,â the Border Patrol statement said. âRecords checks revealed no derogatory information about the individuals.â

Just good-hearted people seeking a better life and an opportunity to work. Their crossing is an act of love.

I heard on our Tucson station that one of them was a human trafficker.
Patagonia is a sweet little town with a lake nearby and is in a ranching area.I don’t think they would blend.

I believe in this case Patagonia is in Arizona. South of Tucson or Northeast of Nogales. I went through there this past Summer.

Ah, I can hear it now: “There is no reason to believe the individuals are connected to terrorism” - aside from the fact that they’re from Pakistan and Afghanistan and sneaking into the US, that is.
One wonders if they’re coming to America “out of love”...
