If they have a warrant, why donât they knock on the door, wait for the home owner to answer and show it to him? According to the article the guy wasn't home at the time. What isn't explained is why they were raiding his home for guns in the first place.

According to the article the guy wasn't home at the time. I suppose returning when someone is home is out of the question.
But, this way they can play ninja special forces SEAL commando. On the taxpayers. Sweet gig.

What isn't explained is why they were raiding his home for guns in the first place. It could be something like a routine divorce proceeding but also the Delaware governor (D) just signed a new law, SB 83, that has the JBTs confiscate any guns after an accusation of misdemeanor domestic violence. If a Delaware resident is accused of something as minor as a bad first date, the raid is on.
