WRONG. Really, do you think 0dunga did this to *demilitarize the police*? REALLY? - No - he did it because HE DOESN*T WANT ANY RESISTANCE WHEN HE ORDERS TROOPS INTO AMERICA*S CITIES TO THROW TEA PARTIERS IN PRISON, OR WORSE.

D@mn good question which nobody dares ask. You can’t just mothball equipment like this without risk of deterioration. My guess is President Jarrett wants her puppet boy to do something very specific with it.

“HE DOESN’T WANT ANY RESISTANCE WHEN HE ORDERS TROOPS INTO AMERICA’S CITIES TO THROW TEA PARTIERS IN PRISON, OR WORSE.”

Personally, I think Odunga has no chance of any of what you are saying at this juncture. He’s moving rapidly into “terminal lame duck status.” If he were to try anything at this late date, he’d be squashed like a stomped on frog. Besides, the rank and file military, more than the rest of us have had it up to their eyeballs with the “senior military officers.” In anything Odunga might be tempted to try, the military would take out their own commanders.

Maybe its the right thing to do...maybe. But just because the local sheriff no longer has his personnel carrier, it doesn't mean these guys have given up theirs: All this is really doing is increasing the disparity in federal power vs local power...in a very literal way. How about the alphabet soup of federal agencies give up their weapons first. The disarm the locals. Check out the BLM's toys here (the same BLM that superceded the local sheriff's authority at the Bundy ranch and came within an eyelash of attacking civilians): HMMWVs, MRAPs...and the ISIS special HiLux. https://eplanning.blm.gov/epl-front-office/projects/nepa/37870/46645/50505/BPT_FinalEA-AppB-02052014.pdf

"These things are useful tools and the president taking them away will put more officers in jeopardy and at risk of harm or even death."

"We find it nearly impossible to write traffic tickets and shoot peoples' dogs without our M1A1 Abrams tank. Or at the very least, a Bradley Fighting Vehcile. I mean, what are we? Weenies?"

Who is getting all this equipment now?

He's probably going to give the equipment to the Syrian Refugees.

If he’s taking it, it can only means he knows they’re going to need it before he leaves office.

Can you cite an example of a municipal or county police force using an M1A1 Abrams tank?

That would be very interesting to read about.

Don’t bother to try to impress this upon generations that have been conditioned to question law and order as inconvenient and intrusive. That attitude; fostered and engendered by the media and our Progressive education system is largely the reason for the predicament in which this society finds itself.

If pressed to do so, not one of these “objectors” would step out on the streets to protect the law abiding citizens themselves without all the body armor, firepower and armored transportation they could muster for themselves. Until they put their lives in jeopardy daily and the well being of their families by facing the scum of the earth to serve the public, they should shove it! The law abiding citizen is losing rights every day at the hands of a government that hands them out like candy to base criminals just for political gain.

The way things are going, each and every one of those who want to tie the hands of law enforcement will see the day they will heartily wish and pray for a cop with an armored vehicle, an automatic weapon and body armor go come and save them and their family from the hoardes of deadbeats that the Progressives have “entitled” to everything we have.

Odd to see Obama do the right thing for once.

That sort of depends on who receives the equipment after it's taken back from the police. Would you put it past these people to give at least some of it to certain, shall we say, community organizations?

Were you really expecting the various police departments to lead an insurgency against military rule?

Good, As an elected country official, I have been pissed since the day the vehicle showed up on our door step and hidden away in a garage. I know EXACTLY where there is a heavily armored vehicle in storage, well cared for and ready to be returned, all I need to know is who to call to pick it up.
