Demographics have changed and lowered the IQ's, liberals took control and families disintegrated. It's a toxic mess.
No amount of money and no number of programs can fix what's wrong with America's inner cities.
Instead of the vague “Find x”, they should have asked, “Determine the VALUE of x.”

There still are world class schools in NY State. However they can mostly be found in the suburbs (e.g. Long Island ). Other than the special schools like Stuyvesant, Bronx Science, Townsend Harris or Brooklyn Tech, schools in the city SUCK on average.

The educational system in New York State was great before they had the Federal Department of Education (circa Jimmy Carter). Might as well close that useless department down and return the money to the states.

Pretty much any applied science degree requires a very strong background in algebra. Algebra is at the core of all higher level math.

You need to know about random variables or at least have a passing familiarity with randomness for that task.
The ability to learn math is obviously a white privilege racist micro-aggression thing.
Algebra problems violate safe space.
Today MOST College is a JOKE, an Expensive Worthless JOKE for the majority of those that attend.
It has become just another method of re-distribution.
It is is the unflavored Rice Cake of Junk Food, over-hyped and useless.
