Paralympian Oscar Pistorius' conviction for killing his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp has been scaled up to murder from culpable homicide by South Africa's top appeals court.
"Blade Runner" Pistorius could now be sent back to jail for at least 15 years for shooting Steenkamp dead on Valentine's Day 2013.
The athlete is expected to be sentenced for the new murder conviction by a lower court at a date still to be determined.

Don’t worry, tomorrow the supremecourt will rule it a self defense.
No kidding; this would never happen in America. A judge or jury’s verdict of “not guilty” to a crime is final; any attempt to go around it is a violation of Double Jeopardy.
A strange system indeed, but if their justice system is like their constitution, it’s based on the justice system of the old Soviet Union, as that’s what inspired the ANC when they wrote the new constitution for South Africa.

Sorry, his initial acquittal was the worst decision since OJ’s.
His girlfriend had locked herself in the water closet, which looks to be about 3’x 4’ in the photos, it was literally closet sized. He shot her 4 times through the locked door. He says he thought she was a burglar. Right. Burglars always head straight for a tiny toilet room and lock themselves in. Good riddance to him.
