Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump made the shortlist for TIME magazine's 2015 Person of the Year for his "populist rhetoric" in the 2016 presidential election that has "stirred debate about the party's future."

The magazine released its shortlist Monday morning with Trump making the cut among other finalists including Black Lives Matter activists, Russian president Vladimir Putin and Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi, the leader of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

Did the MSM ever use the term “populist rhetoric” when referencing obama?

“What an arrogant, self-aggrandizing jerk!” and his tagline.

LOL, nice catch.

Wonder if that includes our host?

This should dispel the looney notion that the MSM somehow is opposed to Trump.

They have supported him with massive undeserved air time, and now they want his mug on the cover of Time.

That is some potent kool-aid running in the nation's water supply.

It's always a sad thing to watch folks melt down on the open forum. Here someone expresses the idea the MSM has been in Trump's camp all along. Why they've covered him more than anyone else...

I mean that's just slap your forehead ignorant. Thank heaven it's just another M2T sucker.

The Media has been anti-Trump from the day he announced. Hardly a single positive article has been written, and this clown says they're on his side.

It's really great to see who Cruz attracts and who Trump attracts.

Tells you quite a bit about the candidate.

Thanks FireBrand. I obviously agree with your comments.

It’s so obvious.

Those were the good old days (if you’re old enough), when people actually called it a fascist rag.

It’s not going to be Caitlin. Everyone already knows more than they want to know about that. And too many people would keep their money in their pocket in protest.

And a loss for conservatives, for sure. You are voting for an MSM-made brand image that exists only because it was pursued and honed by a businessman with a flair for showmanship. In the context of US billionaires, even real estate billionaires, Trump is third-rate in the big picture. But he has you convinced that he's "brilliantly" at the top of the game BECAUSE he is such "good TV."

Wake up. Please.

Even Hillary is talking about corporate inversion, a subject Trump brought up

Yup. And don't forget how she jumped on the idea of taxing hedge-fund managers fairly, by eliminating the carried-interest loophole, a day or so after Trump, but she called it something else and got the Times to do a piece on it, front page I think.

Wait a minute, you tell me the evil corrupt MSM loves Trump and you want me to wake up?

Tell me Finny, do all Trumps other enemies such as the corrupt country of Mexico, the corrupt criminals and insiders in D.C., leftist, Communist academia, illegal aliens, corrupt political PAC's, Muslims/terrorist, liberal idiots everywhere, the IRS, and mass murdering cartel kingpins, also love Trump?

??

Somebody who understands the power of Prime Time media image branding and the amiable gullibility of the American public?

"We have somebody from TIME magazine here," Trump said at an Alabama rally. "You know I was on the cover recently. Now they're here again, so I assume they're considering me for man of the year. I say there's no way they give it to me. They can't. Because, mentally, they can't. They just can't. They can't do it. Even if I deserve it, they can't do it."

What eloquence. *cough* What statesmanship. And what fixation on the very entity that Trump used as a tool to make himself famous in the first place -- the MSM.

Truth is truth.

You'd be right except that Time readers aren't normal people.

Ed-surv observes: This should dispel the looney notion that the MSM somehow is opposed to Trump.

LOL. TDS got you?? You sound sad and of very sour grapes. Wh'’s your candidate? How is he polling, nationally?

An effort to belittle, boast, and change the subject. Bluster, in fact.

You want an example that the MSM loves Trump?

Fox News Sunday had, late last month, arguably the world's most famous conservative spokesman as its guest, Rush Limbaugh.

For reasons of his own, Limbaugh has always declined to endorse any Republican primary candidate, and it has been respected. He will only comment on the candidates, and he is called on because he is perceived as the voice of conservatives.

Limbaugh said Ted Cruz was "a conservative through and through," "brilliant," "Trustworthy, strong, confident, leader, and somebody on whom you can totally depend."

He politely dismissed Carson as "not equipped to be president at this stage."

Of Donald Trump, he said he was doing a "great service" by "showing that you do not have to fear attacks from the media. He's showing you that you do not have to fear ... violating political correctness."

Look at the FOX news story linked, and look at the presumably left-leaning The Hill article linked within. The story is ALL ABOUT TRUMP, then Carson, then Cruz, at the very end.

Understand that when you who believe in Trump come back with "TDS" and "but he can win" and "well, who are you going to vote for?" and other variations of deny, excuse, avoid, respond with zero attempt at facing the fact at hand: the MSM took a story about Cruz and made it all about Trump.

I predict that no matter what happens, the MSM will continue to make it "all about Trump."

The MSM made Trump's image, remember. There are many smarter, more brilliant, better "self-made" entrepreneur American billionaires than Donald Trump; comparatively, Trump is third rate, yet he's pitched himself as top tier in the world of business.

He's also a patriotic showman. Bet on it at your own risk. And prepare to be embarrassed at best if it wins.
