Rudy Guiliani was on Fox and Friends this morning.
He stated Trump’s proposed ban is a violation of the First Amendment and the freedom of religion. There can be no religious test.
How stupid is that?
Muslims overseas don’t have any inherent right to 1)
emigrate to America and 2) are not covered in any way by our Constitution.
Not only that it is the Constitution that gives solely to Congress the right to set immigration and naturalization laws, and any test they desire is within their sole purvey to apply.
Guiliani agreed with some of of Trump’s ideas about monitoring the mosques and admitted he did after 9/11 in NYC, and Bloomberg expanded it after Guiliani left office (Whoa!).
But here is a worldwide security consultant who gets the Constitution wrong.

So far, Steve Doocy said the people writing in to Fox and Friends this morning agree with Trump—90% agree.

We actually need a suspension on ALL immigration, regardless, until a new administrations gets in and current agency heads are replaced with adults.

Agreed. You have to define the problem first. Then you craft the solution. Trump is very smart to attack each issue separately. If he started talking about the LEFT’s overall strategy to take down the US, he would sound too extreme. Trump is a real estate guy who understands the value of a good bulldozer:

It seemed to me that Guiliani was very uncomfortable in that segment—trying to carefully thread too many needles.
I wondered if he would tow the GOP’s line or not.
I got the distinct impression from his body language, that at the end, he felt he said too much about the mosque surveillance.
Trump has put the political and pundit class in shock today, but like in June when he announced about the illegals and the wall, it will become evident that Americ agrees with Trump and not them.

This need to be seen as "tolerant" is driving many otherwise sensible people to say some profoundly stupid things.
