The Ted Cruz Story (New Video)
American Clarion ^ | December 8, 2015 | Bob Ellis

Posted on 12/08/2015 8:14:35 PM PST by Isara

This new video from GotNews comes one of the super PACs supporting Ted Cruz for president. If you haven't read Ted Cruz's book "A Time For Truth" or otherwise gotten to know the most conservative presidential candidate running in 2016, this is a good introduction.

It starts out with Ted's father, Pastor Rafael Cruz, talking about growing up in Cuba and watching that country sink into Marxism. Like our current Marxist-in-Chief, Fidel Castro came to power talking of hope and change, only to declare war on liberty and oppress his own people.

Ted's Aunt Sonia suffered under the heel of despotism in Cuba, but Rafael got out before he went through that much.

Ted Cruz knows the poison of Marxism from his father and his aunt. Perhaps this, as well as growing up in America during the Reagan years, is a key part of what makes Cruz so passionate about liberty and the American way.

In the video, Rafael and Ted's mother Eleanor talk about how they were not Christians as young adults, and the problems they both had with drinking before coming to Christ. They also talk about the difference the transforming power Jesus Christ has had in their lives since they surrendered their lives to Him. Any person who has truly given their will over to Christ understands this born-again transformation.

When Ted Cruz was a young man, he memorized the entire U.S. Constitution and was already a passionate advocate for the constitution even before he graduated high school. Cruz worked hard to pay his way to Princeton, and then on to Harvard.

Before being elected to the U.S. Senate, Cruz was Solicitor General for Texas, Cruz is endorsed in the video by another former Texas Solicitor General James C. Ho.

As Kelly Shackelford, President of Liberty Institute, said, Cruz has argued more cases before the U.S. Supreme Court than anyone in Texas. As Solicitor General, Cruz stood for religious liberty, the right to keep and bear arms, and America's Christian heritage successfully before the U.S. Supreme court.

Because of the solid record of fighting for conservative values, we don't have to guess how Ted Cruz would lead as president. We don't have to hope Ted Cruz would preside according to the traditional principles that made America the greatest nation in history. We know Ted Cruz will be a champion of American values in the White House because he has been that champion everywhere he has served before.

If freedom falls in America (as it is on the verge of doing), the world has nowhere else to turn. Let's not give in to fear this time. Let's not shrink back from going big. Let's not compromise this election. Let's do as Ronald Reagan called for, and raise not a banner of "pale pastels, but bold colors which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people."

Let's get behind the best candidate on the field and elect Ted Cruz as president of the United States.

Ted Cruz has no CEO experience. He has no track record in advanced leadership.

Compare him to a guy that has lead a team of top level producers for decades, and he comes up as an unknown.

Trump will hit the ground running with a team of men that will address five times what Cruz could, because Cruz has never had to lead a team like this before.

Ted Cruz, as Solicitor General of Texas, led the office of 4,000 employees, including 700 lawyers.

During private practice at Morgan Lewis, Ted Cruz built their appellate practice to be one of the top 20 law firms on National Law Journal's "Appellate Hot List" in 2010.

Trump supported TARP, auto bailout and Porkulus bill, i.e., Trump is for big government and big businesses.

Trump's Record on Free-market Issue: (from the Conservative Review)

Trump has a terrible record on free market issues. The only bright spot is the Federal Reserve's quantitative easing, but this glimmer is countermanded by his repeated support for bailing out Wall Street and the auto industry, and increased stimulus spending. Of particular concern is Trump's belief that the government can use eminent domain powers to seize private property in the name of private economic development. This comes as no surprise, given his support for using eminent domain to profit his own company.

Trump supported the Supreme Court’s 2005 decision in Kelo v. City of London, allowing public authorities to seize private land for economic development by private investors; Trump said, “I happen to agree with [the decision] 100 percent.” (National Review)  This is no surprise given Trump’s attempt to use eminent domain in his own line of work. (Institute for Justice)

Trump supported President Obama’s 2009 stimulus, saying: “The word stimulus is probably not used in its fullest…you know, certain of the things that were given weren't really stimulus. They were pork, as we call it, or they were gifts to certain people. But overall, I think he's [President Obama] doing very well. You do need stimulus and you do have to keep the banks alive.” (CNN

Trump supported TARP, saying, "You had to do something to shore up the banks, because ... you would have had a run on every bank." (CNN

Trump supported the 2008 auto bailout, saying, “I think the government should stand behind them 100 percent. You cannot lose the auto companies. They’re great. They make wonderful products.” He also said that the federal government could “easily save the companies.” (Daily Caller

Trump criticized the Federal Reserve’s intervention in the debt market, saying quantitative easing creates “phony numbers” that mislead the marketplace and “will not ultimately benefit the economy. The dollar will go down in value and inflation will start rearing its ugly head.” (CNBC

Donald Trump has a history of using eminent domain to complete business deals. Multiple times Trump has supported the use of government agencies to take possession of homes and businesses for use in his private business plans. Eminent domain seizures are reserved only for public use of property rather than abuse by the government taking property from one individual and giving to another. (Washington Post

Donald Trump has sought and received crony capitalist tax breaks for his commercial properties in New York. These tax breaks, and even an abatement, force the property taxes of other property owners to rise at the expense of the connected. Special treatment for one business or industry over another with the tax code conflicts with free market principles. (National Review

In 2009, Trump supported Barack Obama's call for limits on the pay of executives. (CNN)

You’re right. Cruz needs to spend some time in the Senate, actually get something done, and then be appointed to the Supreme Court.

Won't it be wonderful when President Cruz appoints Supreme Court judges and Federal judges who follow the U.S. Constitution, just like him?

That may be where Ted’s future is.

I’m reasonably sure he’d be good there. (SCOTUS)

Now, if only we could dump that squirrel Roberts.

Cruz has all the makings of an exceptional president. The more the American people learn about Ted Cruz, the more they like what they see, and recognize that Ted Cruz is what they’re looking for in a President of the United States.

The alternative being another Ginsburg nominee...no thanks!

Someone donating over $100K to the Clinton Foundation and repeatedly donating heavily to the most extreme LIEberal campaigns isn't a track record to be proud of, yet he bragged about his political bribes and kickbacks to democrats as "part of doing business".

The Story of Ted Cruz video is wonderful. Make DC Listen PAC did a superb job on the project. The quality is suitable for airing at the 2016 Republican National Convention. This is definitely going in my permanent bookmarks.

Thanks for posting this, sent it to all my friends. I’ve been pro-Cruz from the beginning, he is exactly the man our country and the civilized world needs for the present time. I sincerely believe that he is our only choice to win the current conflict.
