If you mean organized Rabbinical inspection including trademarks indicating facilities were inspected, I'd guess that grew up in the late 19th century as you got larger concentrated populations. Wasn't a matter of being accepted since Kosher food isn't much different to a non Jew as non Kosher food. Dietary laws are just that, they relate to cooking and consumption. In your example pork is forbidden to eat, but nothing else. Jewish kids can play football with real pigskins. And it's not forbidden to anyone else. Pork is sold in Israel.

Why is it that we have become, somehow, “obligated” to accept immigrants? Why is it that it has become the burden of the United States to find a reason to reject an immigrant?
It used to be that the immigrant had to provide proof that they were worthy of entry into the US and had to demonstrate how they would enhance America with their presence.
I'd like to see the list. They attribute 15 to the JDL back in the 80s. I suspect they're including planned attacks which didn't come off. Like the one for Rep. Issa's office. For which the two heads of the JDL went to prison, where they were both killed within months. Not much of a comparison, and as most posters have noted, the issue is ideology, objectives and the breadth of it's appeal worldwide, not the existance of a single group at some time in the recent past.

Who did the JDL attack? Was anyone killed? Did they attack people at random for the purpose of creating terror, or did they target only people or organizations who had targeted Jews and Jewish organizations? Not at all the same thing as the terror attacks carried out constantly around the world against anyone and everyone by Muslims.
That about sums it up. Plus the Torah and the Jewish faith do not instruct followers to murder non-Jews wherever they're found. The difference between people following the principles of their religion as opposed to violating them is lost on those who pretend to live with no religion at all while simply adhering to the faiths of Atheism, Humanism, or any of the others that deny God and elevate Man to godhood.
Persusoing the internet is seems doubtful that Ashleigh Banfield is Jewish. Her husband seems as though he might be part Jewish. I knew a Jewish girl in High School with the last name Gould.

No, he was a Christian. He was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church in Roxbury, NY. The Jay Gould Memorial Reformed Church in Roxbury is Presbyterian.
Common name, I knew old Jay wasn’t, but things happen. I often wonder about the hostility that sometimes comes from people with “unwanted” Jewish pasts. Kerry and Sulzberger come to mind. But then there are people like Barry Goldwater.
I think there were a couple killings attributed to them, bombings. They mostly attacked the Soviets, occasionally Arabs and even former Nazis. 7 deaths, could very well be true, though it’s hard to find a list of attacks on the web, and I don’t think many actually resulted in convictions.
The JDL was a terrorist organization though. Google Irv Rubin and you will see that he died in jail awaiting trial for a bombing attempt, IIRC.
Casper Sulzberger was pathological and nutty about being half Jewish and you know he promoted maximum prosecution of Jonathan Pollard. John Kerry just ignores it. Having two Jewish born grandparents. Partly because he was able to hide being half Jewish until about 15 years ago.
In fact the last name Kerry got him more votes in Massachusetts.

Exactly. With the first name Howard and being in finance in New York City, my guess is Howard Gould is part Jewish somehow, someway.
I am surprised at how many 20-35 something actors and actresses are half Jewish when I look them up in Wikipedia. Scarlett Johansson for example. People are definitely curious about this (Jew/not Jew) and ethnic origins in general because Wikipedia caters to this by getting into it as best it can via its volunteer contributors
