I don’t like Emanuel, never have. But having said that, resigning is the worst thing he could do. We don’t change leaders this way, based on protests. We change them at the ballot box. But since he’s a democrat Chicago Mayor, I’m reasonably certain he’s not resigning.
Yes, if he resigns, then Chicago gets a mayor that is acceptable to the BLM revolutionaries. And that would be 100 times worse. And he would only be the first of many they would go after.
Emanuel needs to get in touch with the ghost of Richard Daley and tell the checkerheads to take their billys and give out some wooden shampoos.

There was a report a few weeks ago that Rahm Emanuel was planning to take his family to Cuba for the Christmas holidays.
While he’s in Cuba he can ask the Castro brothers what to do when everybody hates you.
If the people of Chicago are foolish enough to let Rahm back into the city after his vacation, they might also be foolish enough to accept Castroesque policies like firing squads for the worst protesters.

Unlike many of the other targets of the Unassimilated Welfare Population movement, I think people have a legitimate complaint that this scum delayed the release of the video for election purposes.

I agree. This pos corrupt mayor is an example why cities are broke. They take care of their cronies and developers while selling out public assets, while other Americans are put on the hook. He should not just resign, but he should spend decades in prison and be required to pay back the $5 million he absconded from the city. He used it to bribe the family of the kid who was shot to buy time until he was reelected.
In the event of death or resignation of the Mayor of Chicago, the Vice Mayor becomes the Mayor. That would be Ward 42 Alderman Brendan Reilly who was appointed VC just last spring after Rahm’s re-election.

Also not clear if this is temporary or until the next election.
Let’s hope he is exposed (and incarcerated).
These episodes demonstrate to anyone who wants to go to work every day, as well as anyone who wants to operate a business, that you just can’t be in close proximity to welfare hives. A friend who works in Newark NJ’s small downtown had BLM-type demonstrations closing a highway there; when I asked if the company closed, she replied that they just had people work from home. Technology has made cities irrelevant (in the same manner that malls killed them decades ago - who would shop around such dangerous populations?).
Rahm should be made to answer to the $5 million bribe that Chicago paid to the family of Laquan McDonald to keep his death quiet until after the eleciton.
