That’s pretty much my point, that we have all these people on FR Trumpeting poll numbers (pun intended), as if that proves anything substantive about the man when they don’t prove anything. Don’t you think?

Go ahead, get that precious “last word” in that we both know you desperately need. Won’t prove anything and we both know that too.

You’re a real hoot.

I make one response to your initial comment and you start the “you have to have the last word” routine.

Now if I respond to your rejoinder, it will in your mind prove your point. I don’t think it’s too tough a concept for you to grasp, that when you make a point I will probably want to respond. I don’t care if that goes 30 rounds.

If you can’t stand seeing a response, don’t make a post for me to respond to.

Can’t tell you how many times on this forum I’ve had somebody go the “last post” angle on me, with them having posted to me prior to each of my comments back. We’re essentially tied with posts, and yet they want me to buy into the idea I’m the bad guy because I wanted my views on their points to be expressed.

To a certain extent polls are esoteric. They aren’t solid facts. You can get a general idea of where your guy is. I think we all quibble about accuracy and gamesmanship, but after polls have been trending for months, it’s pretty easy to spot anomalies.

Some of us saw Carson being lofted and laughed. There was no way he was gaining ground like that, because he wasn’t doing anything to garner it. We predicted his numbers were being gamed and in a few weeks he dropped.

I also see numbers for other people. If they don’t make sense, then I don’t buy in. I’m sure you do the same thing.

Does it mean you’re right or I’m right when we question these votes, no. We are able to read what is taking place and make our own judgments. Sometimes we’ll be right, and sometimes we’ll be wrong. We have to accept that.

I’ve seen Cruz struggling for six months to bring his numbers up above 5-7%. Now he seems to be garnering anywhere from 8 to 15%. I have seen one or two 20%ers, but I have a hard time buying into those.

He is still working hard, but I don’t see a break out moment that brings his numbers from 7 to 20%. So I’m skeptical.

I know you guys want to think he’s truly at 20%, but I think that is more wishful thinking that true earned support. We will see over time.

I do think the polls are gamed. That’s why I pick one I like, and then run others by it to see if it and they makes sense. If three polls are at 20% and three are at 8%, I have a very hard time buying into the 20% figure.

It leaves me unable to come up with a concrete assessment. And recently that’s kind of where Cruz has been IMO.

hey dumbass, I did NOT say he should be kept from saying anything if it disagrees with me, or that only those who agree with me should be heard...

But SINCE I disagree with it I certainly wish he would not have said it. I wish a lot of things would happen to help out our chances of defeating the true liberal hypocrites in office, and everyone is allowed to hope comments are said or not said, and I would never FORCE an opposing opinion not to be heard.

Read what the definition is of ‘hyypocrite’ before you accuse someone one of that filthy sin

Maybe Trump found out going to Israel could be detrimental to his health.

However, if he had supported Trump’s position, I have no doubt you guys would be virtually high fiving all over this forum.

He could have simply said nothing, that it is not his business to opine on another country on a position that not about Israel's interests.
