Susana Martinez claimed she and her companions, including a disabled sister, were only having pizza and drinking cokes.
The audio tapes between Martinez and police were released Friday and siezed upon by her critics at ProgressNow New Mexico.

A statement from her office said Martinez was hosting her annual staff holiday party at the downtown hotel's ballroom Saturday night. Some 200 people attended; there was a live band and dancing.
After the party, Martinez and staff helped clean up and retired to a staffer's hotel room to eat pizza, the statement said.

The front desk put a woman on the phone who said she was the governor and demanded to know why the cops were called and by whom. The dispatcher would not say where the initial complaint came from, but said it was about the loud noise coming from the room.

Bet the front desk was a leftist nutty New Mexican and knew exactly damn well who was in the room. The noise complaint came in and instead of the front desk simply calling to tell them they were getting a noise complaint,,, they called the cops.
And this was a nice place. I guarantee the hotel doesn’t call the cops on every noise complaint. This is gay.

She didn’t sound drunk to me nor was she “catty”. When was she insulting or malicious? Asking for the room number of the complainer was wrong. She should’ve just verified that the complaint was from an actual guest and not a reporter looking for a story.

I did not listen to the tape, but i lived in NM from 1972-1986. I was involved in politics there, was GOP County Chairman for a time. She was targeted by sleazy ComDems operative in the hotel and the PD. Have seen this before. Nothing is beneath them.
