I don’t think it should be a career ender. People make mistakes. Miss Columbia will survive. Up the dollar value of her prizes to equal the winner’s if that makes people feel better. Life hits everyone hard from time to time. In the big picture, this is nothing.

After watching several past Ms. Universes, I believe that the tradition is to say : “THE RUNNER-UP IS ...” and then announced the name.

Steve apparently mistook the name on the card for the winner.

He was not informed.

Agreed, I watched the last half of the show and he did not look comfortable with the questions and answers. It looked like he wanted to add some type of comment after answers but was holding back. I almost turned it off when Miss USA started yabbering about gun control and “women's” equality. A true liberal dem.

Steve Harvey is a good guy, I love him on Family Feud I feel very sorry for him. Trump has come up with a great idea, hope the powers that be do it. Turn this into a win win.

I don’t think Harvey should continue as the host of future pageants because this was one of the most awful mistakes in TV history.

However, he should be praised for being a real man about the error. He was the one to announce it. He demonstrated how awful he felt about it just by his drooped posture when coming back on stage and apologizing.

He didn’t go full-blown homobama and blame it in Bush, Trump, or anyone else.

His announcement and apology had to be one of the toughest things I’ve seen anyone do in the entertainment industry.
