GOP front-runner Donald Trump is the âweakestâ of the still-bulging Republican presidential field â according â¨to 1988âs unsuccessful Democratic nominee Michael Duk-â¨akis, who said his party should welcome a shot to run against the brash business tycoon.
âI think Hillary is probably going to win the nomination. But itâs going to be a very tough fight in the final,â said the former Massachusetts governor.
âIf I were the Democratic nominee, I would want to have Trump. I think heâs the weakest. But what do I know?â said Dukakis, who lost to George â¨H.W. Bush.

ROFLMAO! Thanks for the pic/reminder. (I was hoping it was on this thread). It is ALWAYS worth a LOL!
Ping.
I had to go to a Lobster Bake at his house in Brookline with my wife at the time who worked for him. He was the wettest noodle I have ever met. He was not a man. If he was a fish I’d had grabbed him by the scruff and thrown him back. I was a 30 year old long haired metal drummer at the time. And the thought of him as president was a farce to me. He is a puke.
What I find impressive, is author Matt Stout so desparate to make a name for himself in `journolism`, he digs up Dukakis from the grave to get a negative comment on Trump.
That’s some initiative for a upwardly mobile liberal political hack.
Some advice Matt, you’re stories need more lies to be effectvie hit pieces.
With enough practice, over time I’m sure you’ll make a fine take down artist.
Key is getting that all important round table network spot so you can hone your on air lying skills.
Keep at it though, it’s a start.
If they don’t want to run against Trump, all these surrogates would be keeping their mouth shut. They are afraid because he will not cower to pc and will attack clinton regardless of her gender..which other candidates would be too cowardly to do..like Mittens
There is definitely a “please don’t throw me in that briar patch” vibe going on with regard to Trump.
All of these articles that say Donald Trump is the weakest candidate against Hillary are very difficult for me to process. On the one hand I know all of these people that write these articles are liars and snakes are and are playing a big game of politics. On the other hand maybe they are right. At any rate I’ll take my chances with Trump
LOL. Me too.
“But what do I know”? That sums up Dukakis in his own words.
Still stuck on stupid and still stuck in that tanker helmet, eh Michael?
IF “Bubba” Clinton had been REMOVED by the “elite” Senate
when the House of Representatives voted impeachment for his
sexual dalliance with a subordinate, we would not now be
facing the spectre of a Hitlery Clinton Presidency!
“Dukakis: Tycoon GOPâs âweakestâ”
Last time I heard that Jimmy Carter was egging on the GOP to nominate Reagan.
The same as... asking a homeless person on the streets for fashion advice on what you should wear to a big job interview.
The same as... asking Hillary Clinton, "What difference, at this point, does it make?"
The same as... expecting Obama not to tell a boldface lie every time he opens his mouth.
Well, I could go on and on, but you get the idea...
This takes me back to my first time hearing Rush back in 1989—and hearing the Mike Dukakis Update Theme: the Beatles’ “I’m a Loser” . . . time flies.
If I were the Democratic nominee, I would want to have Trump. I think he's the weakest.
Yeah, that's it. See, Donald, if you want to win, you can't be weak. I suggest you do something to make you look more like a tough guy. Like going on a tank ride and pretending to be a soldier, for example.
That'll show 'em.
Dukakis calling someone weak is the same as Peewee Herman calling Mike Tyson a "candy a$$."
Beetle Bailey is still alive????
