GOP front-runner leads cult of personality centered around white alienation, racial resentment and authoritarianism.
Donald Trump is the front-runner in the 2016 Republican presidential primary race. He leads his closest rival, Ted Cruz, by a substantial margin. Trumpâs proto-fascism, xenophobia and bigotry are not anomalies or outliers. These values are held by a large percentage of Republicans.
Donald Trump validates these feelings. As such, it is now fundamentally clear that Donald Trump is a hero and leader for many conservatives in the Age of Obama.
Most members of the pundit class have been befuddled by the ascendance of Donald Trump. But, there is one person who has solved this riddle.
In a little-discussed editorial written several weeks ago, Pat Buchanan offered the following analysis:
Enter The Donald.
His popularity is traceable to the fact that he rejects the moral authority of the media, breaks their commandments, and mocks their condemnations. His contempt for the norms of Political Correctness is daily on display.....

I absolutely LOVE seeing the insanity of the leftists grow worse as Trump Derangement Syndrome grows throughout their very souls. They’ve been reduced to the only thing they have left -—continuous insults of those who support or admire Trump.
Straight from George Soros. Salons benefactor.. the most evil man in the world
It sounds like little Chauncey has a problem wit dem white peoples.
Every other ethnicity can lobby on behalf of their interests, with whites its a nightmare come true and must be crushed.
This from those who routinely celebrate the coming white demographic collapse.
#$^$ ‘em.
Just keep on calling us names, idiot media morons...
I can’t ever remember being insulted this much during an election. Sure does not make me feel like voting for any of THEIR guys.
Chauncey is just asserting “the moral authority of the media.” Wait, what?
I actually read the article. I know, strange thing for a Freeper to do. This article shows an extreme, panicked desperation on the other side to see if they can get something, anything to stick. I’ve never seen its comparison.
I bet Salon writers are all a bunch of fat white people who haven’t been laid in 20 years
.
Salon: derange mental
.
Looks like the other posters read the article, too. I don’t see anything that far off base.
“GOP front-runner leads cult of personality centered around white alienation, racial resentment and authoritarianism”
Hey, didn’t salon run an article about how obama, the front-runner eight years ago, lead a cult of personality centered around black alienation, racial resentment and authoritarianism?
Oh, yeah, right ...
.
What is really driving them nuts is watching the MSM pushing Trump day in and day out.
They can’t understand it.
LMAO!!!
Article by Chauncey from “Salon!”
To be read for entertainment purposes only.
It's called "Borking".
They are panicking yet they believe that Hillary or Sanders will easily beat Trump in the general. Something is wrong with this picture. Gee I wonder what it is.
Versus the tried and true method of keeping slavery alive, nurtured and promoted by the Socialist Democrats thru handouts versus jobs...... Yeah I’m gonna always vote against anything democrat from now on. The old blue dog democrat was killed off long ago. What calls itself democrat today makes sino/soviet/chicom look safe...... and thats a real black eye (pun intended) on what is these united states of america today .
My opinion. Merry Wednesday !
Don't you be talking bad about our man Chauncey DeVega or whoever you are.
He has it completely backwards. He says of the mediacrats:
“One of the main challenges that responsible members of the pundit classes are having in making sense of the Republican Party in the Age of Obama-and movement conservatism in the post civil rights era, more generally-is that they still possess some faith in the merits of political discourse as based on mutually agreed upon facts, proceeding in good faith, the Common Good, and a belief in some version of normal politics in the service of responsible governance.”
The ‘facts’ the pundits rely upon are dictated by them, not mutually agreed to by their victims. They’ve never acted in good faith, but always twist and bend ‘facts’ to suit their agenda. They are only interested in the ‘good’ of their theology (their trinity of abortion, sexual perversion, and socialism), not the goodness of God, and their ‘responsible government’ is a fascist system in which the elite manages things for the proles.
