I also received a card and I’m so proud to do so. No thinly veiled requests for money like every one I ever received from politicians. Just well wishes and a promise that “we” were going to make America great again.
A lot of people just wouldn’t understand how one word can inspire. That word doesn’t seem to be in Obama’s vocabulary. I appreciated the gesture but now I’ll be willing to bet that I’ll be getting “greetings” from other candidates when they try to one up Trump.
I signed up on his web site to volunteer in VA.

I think he probably got the addresses of people who have gone to his rallies, signed up for his newsletter, volunteered for their state, purchased something from his web site, or donated.

Nonsense. Wish people "Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year" if you want to include both. But "Happy Holidays" itself is a generic greeting that diminishes Christmas, or so that's what people have been saying. The prime example of the War on Christmas. Trump supposedly was all irate at that in Iowa. I guess that was Iowa and he isn't at all annoyed by it in New Hampshire.

Trump is running on a (R) ticket, of course he’s going to support the party, they all signed pledges to do so....
I still don’t understand why you would think he would be sending out (D) cards? It’s not his place to do so, he’s not running on the (D) ticket, so it’s Hillary’s or Sanders job to do that, we (R) people could care less what the (D) people do or don’t do....that’s their bag of Wheaties...
My only other thought is you are a (D) and are upset because the (D) didn’t think of their voters the way that Trump (R) does....

Happy Holidays is plural. Meaning more than one holiday. Hence Christmas and New Year.
