Not sure what that means other then rigid ideologue unable to think outside the box.
Are your high and mighty conservative principles telling you to sit out the election if Trump is the nominee? That would be a vote for Hillary, you know.
And yet his exes still say he would be a great president. That's quite a feat in itself.
Personally I'm not looking for some conservatively correct moral paragon. I'm looking for a nationalist who will fight to save this country, and who can win. I don't see anyone else.
Trump’s comments about the secret service guys are more “down to earth” than anything I’ve ever heard from any politician. I can relate to a multi billionaire more than to a regular politician.
James 1:8
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
‘’W refused to engage his critics, no matter the criticism.
W had lots of character.’’
Did you forget the “sarcasm” tag? Bush 43 needed to engage — no, DESTROY — his critics at every opportunity, and swiftly. His wussiness was not an asset; it was a liability to him and his party. Trump will not roll over. Being a doormat does not display “character”.
” If Trump will do 10% of what he claims it will be a major blessing. “
I have to agree with you, and I happen to think he can and will do at least 10% of what he claims.
I’m not a fan of some of the things Trump says, some of the childish attacks and outrageous comments especially on twitter, the egotistical personality, the constant bragging...
However...
The only way to get this country back on track and out of the financial hole is for a really tough leader who refuses to back down to get a firm grip on government, do some major cutting of out of control spending, and get politicians to drop the petty bickering and do their damn jobs. Pretty much what Trump has been doing for 40 years, run the government the way he runs a business.
But it will take someone like him who has the backbone to stand against all adversaries, the financial sense to deal with the budget, and the ability to get along with the diverse range pf personalities in Congress, to get them to go back to work.
Cruz could probably do some of that, and would, but he’s already one of the most hated people in DC by many...because he’s stood up to the establishment so long and threatens their money and power.
Trump has a plan, I’ll bet money I don’t have on that. Somewhere he has an itemized list of what he intends to do, written down and parked in a safe where nobody will ever see it. That’s the number one thing most very successful businessmen have, a well laid out strategy. All the stuff we see on TV is an act, probably to keep media attention focused where he wants it, on himself. I doubt we’ve seen anywhere near what he’s really like when he gets down to business...
And he has had a reputation for getting things done for years. On time, and under budget. And that’s what he plans for government too, I’d bet on it. Not giving out too many specifics is all part of the plan, why broadcast your battle plan to your enemies?
I think he can and will do more than 10% of what he claims. It will be hard, he’ll face a lot of opposition, he’ll piss off a lot more people when he starts cutting back their cash cow projects...and like now, he won’t back down one inch from any of them.
All he’s doing now is showing people a couple of things...he is a true leader, which we badly need, he has the backbone to stand up to the opposition, and he really believes in this country. Now and then a sensible comment sneaks out...
Now if he just has sense enough to put Cruz in the co-pilot’s seat...
Yes I said if trump does 25% of what he’s promised I’ll be happy.
The wall! I want the wall! End illegal aliens from entering the US!
Leverage. He uses it!
LOL - when Howie Carr is on - he's ON....
And Bill Clinton’s wife says he was a great president. It proves nothing that Trump’s ex wives all say he’ll be great. And I still believe character matters more than Trumps all too recent transformation into a conservative.
The Left called Reagan an ideologue. I’ll take that as a complement if you think I’m one, too. As for sitting out the election, it won’t be necessary. Trump’s not going to be the Republican nominee. But he will likely make a third party run out of spite and vanity.
I am not a betting man. But I will put $100 on your prediction being wrong. Do you accept my wager?
Try wagering your bet in Las Vegas.
Squat on the punchbowl we much
Go Cruz!
You know your crass comment is what I’d expect from an anti-Cruz Trump supporter.
Trump can’t do all he promisses—thats logical—No President can—but you can bet your sweet bippy that the massive wall will go up. I bet he has the plans in his safe now. It will be more like Hitler’s Atlantic Wall than the Great Wall of China. (hint: invest in Cement companies). He will weed the bloated offices and replace Obama Care with Trumpcare (something that really works). The price of Drugs will go up and up—but it will be a boon to American Pot Growers. The whole focus of the nation will change from minorities to all Americans. He will flush out the swamp in Washington—he will be like Hercules cleaning the Agean Stables. Yes, Ted Cruz will have a place in his team—as well as Mike Lee and Sarah Palin as well as Matt Drudge. It will be a wild time for America. It may well be the dawn of the “Silver Age” of America.
Did you forget the âsarcasmâ tag?
***************************************
I don’t use a sophomoric “sarcasm tag”. If anyone is in doubt about whether it’s sarcasm or not, they can read my other 43,000 replies and figure it out.
Looking forward to it!
