Jeb Bush Says Voters' Passions For Trump Will Pass (Jeb continues to pimp amnesty on NPR)

Many Republicans may have sided with Donald Trump's controversial proposal to ban Muslims from entering the U.S., but his rival Jeb Bush predicts that the GOP faithful will eventually oppose the plan and see it his way.

"Trump clearly banning all Muslims would actually be so counterproductive in our efforts to destroy ISIS that it's foolhardy," the former Florida governor told NPR's Steve Inskeep in an interview Wednesday in Boston. "I mean, it's beyond ridiculous; it's quite dangerous."

Earlier this month, in response to terrorist threats, Trump said there should be "a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what is going on."

The plan was renounced by many of his Republican rivals and GOP leaders; Bush himself said Trump had become "unhinged." But polls showed a majority of Republican voters sided with Trump, and Trump's poll numbers went up in the aftermath, too.

Poor Jeb! It wasn’t suppose to happen this way. It was his turn. The Republican establshment passed the torch to him but Trump quickly extinguished it. Everyone will come to their senses soon and good old Jeb will be waiting. Lol

“I mean, it’s beyond ridiculous; it’s quite dangerous.”

I have heard that said before, but the one who says it never ventures to actually explain why shutting the door to terrorist infiltration is quite dangerous. With his logic, the Trojan Horse would not have been needed, the Trojans would have insisted the Greeks enter their city.

snip....
Talking to Inskeep, Bush dismissed the notion that he had to win an early state, New Hampshire included, to remain in the GOP primary fight.

“I don’t think I have to win any of them, because we’re organized in every state,” he explained. “So depending on how it plays out, if someone rolled the table, then that would have an impact. Be hard for anybody else to...to overcome it.”

“The good news is, expectations are low for me, and I’m definitely gonna beat those,” he said. “I feel really good about New Hampshire, to be honest with you. Just...just the way it...it feels.”

end snippet

Jeb goes on to talk about the “Bush Brand”.

Totally tone deaf in need of professional intervention. Crazy Al Gore, at least, has a focus to his insanity. Jeb not so much.

Jeb is still counting on Karl Rove and Reince Priebus and the Chamber of Commerce to award him the nomination at a brokered convention.

Amnesty for Muslims. Like we need more of them and their backwards 7th Century values in America.

No wonder Jeb is polling in single digits. I’ve found yet another reason not to vote for him.

San Bernardino was one “act of love” enough for me and Jeb still doesn’t get it.

Did you say Al Gore? Let’s not go there. He got the last laugh and is now very, very rich.

Uh, Jeb, do you know how the nomination is won? You have to win state primaries to win the nomination.

The only hope left for Yeb to do is switch parties and bribe Hillary for the VP slot.

Puts me in mind of Hitler moving imaginary divisions around that his generals told him he still had.

Okay, this goes beyond "stupidity," or "idiocy," or whatever term we might legitimately use for someone who just isn't very bright. This kind of doubling down from someone who obviously takes his daddy's "New World Order" thinking seriously should not be dismissed by "well, he's not very bright" excuses. He's a grown man, ex-Governor, member of the global sociopolitical elite, AND he's a Kennebunkport Bush.

Whenever a Kennebunkport Bush says that Americans ought to allow muslims and assorted "refugees du jour" to enter (or exit) our borders without due scrutiny, or tells us - to use Obama's phrase - to shut up and eat our peas, or determines that we should have our food and water cut (with or without a judge's ruling), he means it. Take him at his word, and don't chalk it up to his being an amiable but confused Little Lord Fauntleroy who speaks "inartfully" (as Chuck Schumer phrases it).

I'm not saying that he shouldn't be ridiculed, but it is a mistake to allow John Ellis Bush to evade responsibility for what he is saying by excusing him on the basis of being dim. This NPR interview reveals the depth of his perfidy.

Jeb has to go with the only strategy that will get him over the finish line even if it is a .001% probability
