Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) tells his volunteers about the need to energize and mobilize Christians.
"If we awaken and energize the body of Christ - if Christians and people of faith come out and vote our values - we will win and we will turn the country around," Cruz told volunteers on a conference call Tuesday.
Cruz also said that he is organizing a coalition of pastors in early states including Iowa and South Carolina. "We're working to have a lead pastor in each of the 99 counties in Iowa, 99 pastors are organizing other pastors," Cruz said. "We're doing the same thing in South Carolina, organizing pastors in 46 counties to motivate and organize other pastors." Cruz warned that, as the election nears, the attacks on his campaign will become more vicious. "I want to tell everyone to get ready, strap on the full armor of God, get ready for the attacks that are coming," he warned. "Come the month of January we ainât seen nothing yet."

Sadly , it’s true. His Dominionist ties, which are substantial, doom him.
I think he was just talking about energizing his supporters in Corpus Christi, you know, that coastal town in TX. :)
If we awaken
A very ironic statement..........very appropriate for some reason.
Nope, he's NOT going to get Indies, nor a large portion of blacks, and neither is he attracting swaths of the GOP base.
We need a Christian revival in the USA, otherwise we are doomed to what happened in Europe.
I applaud Sen. Cruz for leading in energizing Christians.
Our core constitutional values are consistent with Christians values.
Cruz is right to call upon the name of Jesus to help this country.
"Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear and celebrate his rule with trembling...blessed are all who take refuge in him. Psalm 2:10-11,12
Cruz is a Southern Baptist and is respected by leaders across the evangelical spectrum, many of whom have endorsed him, such as James Dobson.
That’s where I live!
Yep.
He’s is throwing in the towel. A president has to govern all the country.
A candidate needs to speak to all the voters, even those outside of the sanctuary.
Campaigning, 101
Every purchase you make is analyzed by advertising depts. in every major company in the world. There is nothing sinister about that same analysis being done by a campaign.
He’s covering up for a coming collapse, speaking so exclusively.
Bet you, Cruz doesn’t even run for a second term in the Senate.
Well, Cruz wants to awaken and energize your city (which is “Body of Christ” in English).
Awaken!
Energize!
FTW!
Yea
Trump supported baby killing
That is not creepy
Sadly enough, this strikes me as pandering and worse, pandering to such a relatively small group as evangelicals, and even more worse, there are many groups bigger than evangelicals who are pretty much just automatically suspicious of anyone who emphasizes their religion too much. Basically, pandering to evangelicals turns off way too many other people and limits Cruz’s broader appeal.
Trump, on the other hand, panders to no particular group based on their religion, skin color, ethnicity, culture, gender, age, or LGBTABCXZness.
Real Christians don’t need awaking, because they havn’t gone to sleep.
If the founding fathers of this country had not been like minded in seeking God as Cruz does, you would not be posting vacuous comments belittling the faith that won your freedom.
“Once upon a time this nation looked to “role models” to be leaders.”
Not really. And that’s a rather childish way to look at a president. They aren’t my dad.
